Once the men were gone, Arria released Chesh and practically pushed her away, "I'm so sorry…" He said quietly, putting his head in his hands.
Chesh briefly dropped underwater when Arria let go of her but then resurfaced quickly, coughing. She clutched onto the side of the pool. She tried to climb out but couldn't so she settled for holding onto the side. She stared at Arria with a fearful expression on her face. "W-Why did you do that?" She asked, gripping onto the ledge.
"Did you think they were going to leave if I didn't do something drastic?" He muttered, shaking his head slightly, "Did you think they came in here to crack jokes and make me feel better about this whole thing? Whatever they were here for, I don't want to know and you were my only option for getting them to leave."
She stared at him for a bit. "Why didn't you tell them to let you go?" She asked, trying to pull her self out of the water.
He rolled his eyes, "They woulnd't have. I've heard enough stories to know they'd deceive me."
Chesh struggled to get herself out of the water. The water at the time happened to be quite a few inches from the floor so it was quite a lift for to get out. "You know their just going to come back with guns now, right?" She asked.
"Fine. Let them. But do you think they're going to shoot probably the greatest discovery in their existence?" He raised a brow.
Chesh yelped as she slipped and fell, inhaling some water. She came back up coughing and sputtering. "Th-*cough * They won't kill you but they will hurt you." She sputtered.
Arria sighed, quickly helping her out of the water and away from the edge, "It's not like I haven't been hurt before."
Chesh flinched when he picked her up but then relaxed when she was set down on the deck. "But you don't need to be hurt again!" She protested.
"Maybe I do for being such an idiot, asshole whatever." He sighed.
"Stop putting yourself down, damn it!" She yelled. "Stop saying 'I deserve this' or 'It's my fault'! It's not! You couldn't help most of the stuff that happened to you." She explained.
Arria flinched when she shouted, looking away from her, "You don't know what's happened to me, so you can't say that. I barely scratched the surface with what I told you."
"You still shouldn't think like that!!" She said quietly, hugging herself.
"Well, blame the merman prince for that." He muttered, leaning back in the water.
She pursed her lips at that. "I'm sorry." She said quietly. "I souldn't of done that."
(You can control the crew members as well by the way.)
(Cools)
"No, it's fine. I need to hear that sometimes." He looked towards the stairs with a frown and a sigh.
"But you don't. You've been hurt already and you don't need to be hurt anymore. You need sympathy and not shame." She explained to him.
He opened his mouth to protest then closed it, "Guess you're right." At that point, one of the crew members came down the steps but didn't walk to far in, "Chesh, the captain wants to see you."
Cheshire looked up at the crew member. "Sure thing Jake." She said standing up. "Bye Arria!" She waved to him as she walked out.
(Hope it's OK that I named the crew member. I just thought Jake would be easier to say the 'crew member')
(That's fine)
Arria gave her a two fingered salute back. Jake frowned and followed her out, "Cap isn't happy with you, you know."
"Why?" She asked. "Because I decided to actually help the person we injured. He was in pain. What was I supposed to do? Watch him bleed out?" She asked. Jake had always been nice to her but he was also extremely loyal to Robert.
He sighed, "I know. And I wanted to help him too but is it worth Robert's wrath?"
"Yes." She said bluntly. "He was hurt. I couldn't just leave him like that."
Jake ran a hand through his hair, "I guess you're right…" He knocked on Roberts door and a muffled 'come in' was heard, "Good luck."
