Arria sighed and looked down, "True… but he's your captain, right? So Jake is right, you shouldn't have yelled. I mean, I would have done the same thing but…"
Arria sighed and looked down, "True… but he's your captain, right? So Jake is right, you shouldn't have yelled. I mean, I would have done the same thing but…"
"I don't give a shit if he's the Captain! No one deserves to be treated that way!" Chesh protested. "I've seen too many people be treated like that an it's not fair!"
Jake ran a hand through his hair before he pinched the bridge of his nose, "You could have handled it better, though."
"Well you're not wrong about that." She said laying down, letting her purple hair spill across the deck.
Arria rested his hands on the deck, letting his head rest on them, “What other things has Robert done?”
Chesh looked at the ceiling. "Not much." She said bluntly.
He nodded slowly, “Oh…”
"It doesn't matter." Chesh said waving him off.
“It does. He makes you angry, clearly. Does it happen often?”
"Like I said. It doesn't matter, Arria." Cheshire sat sitting up. "What does matter is how I'm going to get you out of here."
Arria sighed a little, "And how, exactly, are you going to do that?"
"I don't know. I can't do anything while on the ship. Maybe I can…buy you? No. I don't have nearly enough money for that." Chesh said, thinking of ideas.
(Is Jake still there?)
(Yeah)
"I could pitch in with the little money I have," Jake offered, "Like a joint buy and then we just release you back into the ocean. I'm sure there will be other crew members willing to help."
"That sounds good!" Chesh said. "But I have a feeling that the others would feel the need to be payed back. We'd be in debt."
Jake frowned, "That's true… but maybe we could convince them that we don't have to pay them back."
"I doubt that would work." Chesh said with a sigh.
"We don't know that for sure." Jake retorted.
"True but it is extremely unlikely." She said groaning.
Jake sighed, resting his head back against the wall. Arria frowned and drew circles in the water. Eventually, the merman spoke up, "Is there really a point? I should just except my fate and you two should just… leave me alone. I don't want you getting hurt by Robert."
Chesh looked over at Arria. "Do you know what will happen if you get sold off this ship?" She asked him.
Arria shook his head a little, "No…"
"What will probably happen is you will be sold off to be some wealthy rich dudes pet, get sold to a circus and be an attraction, or bought by a group of scientist's who Wil chop you up into itty bitty peices." Cheshire explained.
Arria frowned a little, well, more of a confused pout then anything, not recognising some of the words, "What else could we do, then?"
Chesh sat there for a bit, thinking. "You could try to take a crew member hostage like you did with me earlier. Threaten to like drown or eat him if you don't let you go." She offered. "Or you could like make up a story where if we don't let you go you'll like destroy the ship or something."
Arria nodded just a little, thinking the idea over and over, "Maybe. Would it work, though?"
