Arria nodded slowly but didn't seem to believe what she was saying entirely, "What's… what's your name?" He asked quietly.
Arria nodded slowly but didn't seem to believe what she was saying entirely, "What's… what's your name?" He asked quietly.
"Chesh," She said. "What yours?" She asked as she finished up cleaning the wounds. She then grabbed the badges and looked at his tail. 'Will the bandages stay on or will they slide off?' She asked herself.
"Arria," He replied, "The bandages should stay on if you wrap them tight enough, by the way." Seeming to be able to know what she was thinking.
She nodded and began to wrap his tail. "Tell me if I'm wrapping them too tight, okay?" She told him.
"I will." He replied, watching her movements carefully.
"Why did you come near the ship?" Chesh asked, curious on why he would come close to a human ship when he had such a negative view of humans.
Arria shrugged a shoulder, “I was curious. Even though I think they’re evil, it doesn’t mean I don’t have an interest in them.”
She starred at him. "Your…interested in us?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.
Arria flushed a little, embarrassed and nodded, “Yeah. I’ve read loads about you, found things at the bottom of the ocean you’ve dropped. It’s quite fascinating.”
She nodded. "So your interested in your stuff and not us?" She asked, chuckling slightly.
Arria’s eyes widened a little, “No, no I’m interested in you, too but I’ve never met one. There isn’t many books on humans so I don’t know much about you as a people.”
"And we don't know much about merpeople." She said looking at him, a smug grin plastered on her face as she finished wrapping the larger wound.
He nodded again, running his fingers lightly over the bandages, “Have you ever met one before?”
"No." She said. "Bet you haven't met a human either."
“Yeah, I haven’t.” He admitted, running a hand through his hair.
Chesh finished wrapping the last wound. "There. Are there any more?" She asked as she looked at his tail.
Aria swished his tail back and forth observing for any more injuries before shaking his head, “No, there’s no more. Thanks for the help.”
"Your welcome." She said as she lifted her legs out of the water. She stared at his collar. That looked super uncomfortable. Maybe she could take it off…No! If she did that Robert would surely throw her over board. She sighed. She put her legs back in the water. 'It's not like I have anything better to do.' She thought. "So…what's it like? Being a mermen?" She asked.
Arria shrugged a shoulder, staring down at his tail, “To me it’s just… boring. Normal. I guess being able to breath under water is cool but that’s really it.”
Chesh nodded. "But you could travel where ever you wanted to. There is nothing holding you down." She said.
Apart from an over protective brother… “I guess so, but you can do that with a ship.”
Chesh sighed. "But it's different. Your on the ship. You have no idea what's beneath it. And the weather is a literal killer." She explained. "Do storm even effect you?" She asked.
“Not if your far enough under the waves,” He explained, “You can see storms and if your high enough you can get caught in them.”
Chesh nodded her head. "Sorry for the personal quistions. It's just…life in the sea just seems so different from life up here." She said as she kicked her legs back and forth in the water.
“It’s fine, I don’t mind,” He sighed, “Life isn’t that different. I don’t think so anyway. You have to go I school, get a job and a house. The usual.”
