"Of course." Jav hesitated, and when she didn't say anything more, added, "Do you need anything else?" He knew that sounded rude, like he wanted to get away from her, but kindness had never been his strong suit.

@ElderGod-Icefire

She shook her head a little. "No, I believe that's it. Thank you." She replied, letting out a faint breath and stepping back a little. "I should be getting back to my job."

@PrettyLittlePyro

Jav watched her go. She had suffered so much… he hoped they could get this right. He didn't want her to have to be alone… also, without the illusion on, she was hot.

@ElderGod-Icefire

(fhshdggd I actually laughed out loud at that last part lmaoo)

She didn't look back, vanishing around the corner and moving out of sight. She made it back to her assigned job and got to work.

"This might actually be the smartest idea you've ever had," Damen grudgingly told his brother, as they stood on the ramparts, watching Tommin's Merchant Wagon roll into the palace courtyards. "And also the dumbest. Do you really think Tommin will willingly take a prisoner and a monster into his cart, and fight against the king?"
Beside him, Javaid shrugged, the movement making the weapons on his body jungle slightly. "Yeah, I do. You told me how much he hates the King. He's willing to risk even his own neck to make the guy furious."
Dae rubbed his forehead, eyes closed. He let out a long breath. "But if he gets caught, all of his work here will be for nothing, you know that."
He hated to admit that the idea his idiot brother had was actually good. Sure, there were several flaws in the plan, but he hadn't been able to think of anything better in the three years they had been hiding in the palace, looking to take it down from the inside.

Rose had managed to get into the royal library, and had done as much research as she could. She thought she could get the collar off of Korain, but that could be worried about later, after they'd escaped. Currently, she had already knocked out her brother and put him as far under as she could, needing him not to wake up and lose it. She was waiting for the signal from Jav and Dae that it was safe to bring him out.

@PrettyLittlePyro

The sun was setting, casting the courtyard in a dim glow. Jav glanced at the wagon, judging the position of the wheels, and waiting until it had stopped in front of a particular trapdoor. Where, hopefully, Rose had placed Korain.
"That's my cue," he said, sending his brother a smirk. He hopped over the battlements, which wasn't damaging with the power lent from Damen, and jogged across the courtyard and into the palace, through the servant's quarters.
He found Rose quickly. "We're ready," he said quietly.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Rose had indeed managed to get Korain where she had been meant to, and looked up when Jav came in. "Alright." She slung her bag over her shoulder and followed Jav back out of the servants quarters. She hadn't taken down the illusion yet, but she would once they were far enough out of the city. The more chance of Korain being able to recognize her, the better.

@PrettyLittlePyro

(Okay, I have a few questions for this.)
(Number one, do they get caught? Or do they safely get Korain away, and maybe have a "wholesome" roleplay about getting him back to normal? Or an angsty or what? I don't care, I'm just wondering!)
(Two, has Korain been removed from the place he was chained up? Or is he still in there?)

@PrettyLittlePyro

(Okee dokee! Do you have any plans after that?)

"You have him in position?" Jav asked casually. He was striding confidently across the courtyard, and no one stopped to ask him what he was doing there. Rule number one of getting away with something is to act confident, and no one will question. He had discovered this years ago, and it turned out to be as true as anything.

@ElderGod-Icefire

(uhhhh. On the run romance?? Idk lmao)

Rose nodded. "Yes." She replied, looking over at Jav and sighing faintly. "Took a beast of a time to manuveur him, but he's in position." She tucked back a loose strand of hair, glancing towards where he was hidden.

@PrettyLittlePyro

(Okay lol)

"Perfect. You know what to do, then?" They had run through the plan many times, getting as few people as possible in on it, to decrease the chance of being caught or ratted on. Still… the risk was there.

But Jav had basically signed up for this job because of the risk. It would be great.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Yes." She replied. "I'm aware." She looked over to Korain's hiding place again, frowning for just a moment. They were so close to getting her brother out, she could almost taste it. Even if he was much changed. He was still her brother.

@PrettyLittlePyro

(Agh, sorry, I thought I responded to this!)

"I wouldn't look in that area if I were you," Javaid said, as casually as if he were discussing the weather. "It tends to draw notice, especially when you're already looking fairly suspicious." He, though, was walking confidently, as if he belonged there. He had long learned that people don't tend to pay as much attention when you act like you belong.

@ElderGod-Icefire

(you're fine!)

She sighed faintly. "I know, I know." She replied, falling in step beside him and schooling her expression into calm. She was just worried about him. He wasn't in good shape, and she was going to do her best to help but she didn't know quite what to do.

@PrettyLittlePyro

(Sorryyyyyy ahaha…)

"As long as you remember." He stretched his arms above his head and asked, "So, where are you planning on taking him after this?" To anyone listening, he could have been talking about an uncle or someone. No one important enough to think about.

@ElderGod-Icefire

(it's fine!)

"Out of the city." she replied. "Somewhere rural and peaceful, so we can…work on everything." try and undo what her uncle had done to her brother. Fix him, somehow, if that was possible. "And if…if he isn't fixable…" she trailed off, shaking hier head. "He will be."
