(No no, I love that! And Damen and Korain as the gentle and the beast… I love this idea!)
(No no, I love that! And Damen and Korain as the gentle and the beast… I love this idea!)
(Perfect! Also, did you look at Rose and Korain's aesthetic boards? just curious)
(I did! And I love them! I'm considering making an account myself, just to make boards for my own characters. I love Rose's hair style!)
(Thanks! Ooh if you do, lemme know what your account is so I can follow you :) Thanks!)
(I will do that, thank you! Ready to start?)
(sure! Shall I post the starter? And where exactly do you want to start? I was thinking with Rose approaching one of your characters (probably J) to help her get into the palace to get Korain?)
(Also: most of the public thinks that Korain does what he does because he wants to; they aren't aware of what the uncle/king has done to him)
(So uh. I was messing around on Picrew and I made Rose lmao (kinda, it's not exact but it's pretty close): https://picrew.me/image_maker/114808/complete?cd=rmgBiJg7MJ)
(Sure, that works with me!)
(That is amazing XD. Maybe I should see if I could make one of my characters now.)
(Alright!)
(XD thanks! If you do any of these guys, you should show me!)
Rose had arrived in the capitol not three days ago, and had requested to be put in touch with one of the rebels in the palace. She had not announced who she was, sticking to hotels and inns rather than going to the royal palace; she knew that if her uncle recognized her, she might not ever leave the palace again, and that would not be good, for her or for her twin. She hadn't seen Korain in five years, but had heard through rumors of what he had become. That her strong, fair-hearted older brother had become a monster that tore people to shreds without remorse, but she didn't believe it. She didn't believe that he could be doing that through choice, because he had never been like that. He had always been so kind, even if he was so protective of her when they were younger.
(I will do that!)
Javaid leaned against the fountain in the center of town, on one of those rare days when he had a break, evenif it was only for a few hours. Being an advisor was exhausting work, especially since everything the king said made him want to throw up, it was so fake. He was very impressed that he hadn't gone insane yet.
Damen, his brother, should be here soon. There was news that someone would try to contact the rebellion, and with Jav's hot temper and tendency to say things that he later regretted, it was best for his twin to be there. Hopefully, Jav wouldn't blow it, like he'd almost done many, many times.
Rose set out for the fountain that she was supposed to meet the rebel contact at. She wore a cloak, a bag concealed beneath it, and her makeup done in a way so as to conceal her identity. She looked far too much like the late king and queen to go out without that, and used her magic to change her eye color to a simple brown, darkening and straightening her hair as well, until she looked like nobody special, and certainly not the missing princess. Sure, it would be difficult to keep this magic up, but she could manage it. She knew she could.
Damen arrived soon after, looking no more like a member of the rebellion than anyone else. He wore a normal peasant's clothing, and seemed to be holding no weapons, although Jav knew that he was probably secretly armed to the teeth. "Are they supposed to come to this spot?" He asked, as soon as the brothers had done their traditional greeting.
"Yeah. Apparently so."
Rose made her way to the spot, arriving at the fountain. She examined the pair at the fountain for a long moment before beginning to approach the two. She was not quite sure what the procedure for this was supposed to be.
"I think that may be them." Jav nodded to the cloaked figure, a woman, most likely, from her gaint, and sent her his typical smirk as she approached. "You here for the rebe-"
Damen grabbed him by the ear, and Jav winced, stopping in what he was saying. "Shut up, you fool." He let his brother go and smiled at the woman. "I'm Damen, and this idiot here is Javaid. Don't mind him. He has brains made of cotton, so you shouldn't trust anything you hear coming from his mouth."
She removed the hood so that she could see better. She knew that they wouldn't recognize her; the magic was still active, keeping her looking like anyone other than who she really was. "I see." she replied slowly, eyes studying the two. They looked very similar…brothers, perhaps? "Well."
Jav laughed at her expression and words. "Someone actually didn't react to your kind words, Dae," he said, rubbing his ear and smirking. He turned to the newcomer. "And who might you be, beautiful lady?"
Damen whacked him on the back of the head.
"Rose. And beautiful is an incredibly lazy way to describe someone, just for your information, and next time you intend to compliment someone's looks, find a different way to describe them other than a word that is over-used." she replied, her voice calm and collected as she watched the two steadily and carefully.
(I've got to go, I'll be back in a few hours!)
Jav flushed with annoyance and embarrassment at her words, and Damen gave a whoop of laughter. "You've met your match!" He grinned at the girl. "I respect you for that. Very few people can make my brother tongue tied." He calmed himself. "Okay. Back to the matter at hand. You want to sneak into the palace?"
(alright!)
Rose looked over at Damen, and nodded. "I do." she replied. She knew eventually she would need to show her identity to these two, as otherwise they would never believe her when she said she was getting the prince out. Because she knew her brother and she knew he never would have chosen this.
(Is it bad that I already kinda ship Jav and Rose a lot?)
"Okay." Damen smiled warmly at her, in that way of his that set people around him at ease. "When would you like to do it?"
"And why?" Jav piped in, apparently already having forgotten his previous embarrassment.
(lmao nope, bc I kinda do too)
Rose answered Damen's question first. "As soon as possible." At Jav's question, she frowned a little bit. "That…is sensitive information." She replied slowly. In more ways than one.
(I love them…)
"Alright." Damen sent Jav a warning look. "My brother here is undercover in the castle. He can help you arrange everything you need."
Jav sent him an innocent smile, then looked at Rose. "Ah, well. We're partners, right? We have to work together, you know. I need to know why you need to get it, so I can equip you with everything you need."
(haha same)
Rose lifted her chin a little bit. "Fine then." She replied. She turned her back to the street so that only the brothers would be able to see her face, then lifted the spell that she had used to change her eye and hair color, showing her for who she was. If you knew what the old king and queen had looked like, then it was unmistakable who she was.
Damen looked perfectly calm and cool, just a flash of surprise crossing his face before he masked it. Jav looked for a moment as if he has been slapped. Then he tilted his head and composed himself. "Remarkable likeness," he said, a grin crossing his face. "Can you look like a pig?"
"Your Highness," Damen murmured, stomping on Jav's foot, so that he yelped with pain. "I had no idea you were still alive."
She narrowed her eyes at Jav, and lifted her middle finger in response. "I can make you look like one, if you prefer." she fired back, before looking at Damen. "Yes. That's on purpose. My uncle…well." she replied, shaking her head a little bit.
