She carefully unzipped the upper body of her suit and slowly removed it revealing a thin black undershirt and a plethora of bruises. ”There is a decent-sized cut on my right upper arm and I believe a few bruises ribs, if not cracked. I’m not completely certain but one may be broken.” she recounted. ”As for what to call me; I have been debating between Brainwave or, perhaps, Monitor. You can decide.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

He sighed softly. "Alright." He lifted the edge of her shirt so he could access her ribs, gently running his fingers along her ribs to check for breaks. "Yeah, you have a break. And I can't do anything about…" He trailed off, thinking. "And Brainwave. Monitor sounds like one of those old computers." He said. "Now hold still. This is delicate magic, and if it goes wrong, you could end up with seventeen new ribs." He took a deep breath, placing his fingertips on the broken rib and focusing. Slowly, the broken rib began to knit back together.

She gave a pained hiss at the healing process. ”That was kind of the point but, hearing someone else say it… Brainwave it is.” Jade nodded stiffly making an effort not to move much. ”Seventeen? Great, more for others to break.” she tried not to laugh at her self-deprecating joke.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Seventeen is a vague number. It could be anywhere between two and five hundred, really." He replied with a shrug, removing his hands as he finished healing her. He sighed softly, and started cleaning her other wounds.

The newly named hero smirked with a raised brow. ”Are you speaking from experience? I’m having a hard time picturing a person with that many ribs without multiple health problems.” she ran her hand across the recently healed rib. ”Thank you, again, for everything you're doing.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

(i gtg to bed. Goodnight!)
(Ohhh okay I get it XD)

Killian smirked. "Yes, I am. And yes, having 200 ribs is in fact painful, and I wouldn't recommend it." He replied with a chuckle, still working on her wounds. His fingers were slim and nimble, working quickly. "What happened?" He asked suddenly. "To you. That caused these injuries."

(Ok. Goodnight)

Jade actually let herself laugh, something she never did in costume. The electronic tone made it sound too strange. ”I don't plan on gaining more than I have.” She watched him work for a moment before her face went blank. ”I told you; I was attacked and overpowered.” she repeated, emotionless. ”Though in my defense, they cheated by using a syringe with a drug I could not recognize at the time.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian chuckled along, then sobered as she spoke. "Ah. I see." He replied simply. He sat back. "Are here any other wounds that need to be taken care of? The drugs you'll simply have to sleep off, I think, as I don't know what else to do about it."

Her expression tightened and she refused to look at him. ”No. I don't believe there is anything more that you can help with. I am very grateful for all you have done but I should just need rest now.” she stated, laying down. ”As long as it stays within my control, I won't tell anyone your identity.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian nodded. "Alright. And it would be appreciated, Brainwave, if you did not use the location of my home or the knowledge of my identity against me in our next fight." He added, standing smoothly. He picked up the food and ate it, putting the dish and fork in the sink.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian gave a sharp nod. "Deal." He replied easily. He walked back over, sitting down in the chair with a sigh. "You know, I had planned some midnight shenanigans for tonight…but I guess that won't happen." He shrugged, drumming his fingers.

Jade shrugged, ”Explains why you were wearing the mask. I can't exactly stop you right now if you chose to go through with those plans.” she admitted. ”I could try but I would be at a clear disadvantage. Though it would be easier on both of us if you postponed.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian nodded. "Yeah." He replied, taking off the mask. "I'll postpone it, I guess." He shrugged slightly, setting the mask down on the table. His eyes were a bright green again.

”Thank you, Hex.” She gave him a small smile, observing his features fully, unhindered by the masks they both wore. ”Have your eyes always changed color like that? Or is it a result of your powers?” she asked curiously.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian nodded. "Both." He replied with a shrug. "It's linked to both my emotions and my magic, and I have had it for as long as I can remember." He wondered for a moment if it was a good idea to tell her all this, but…it wasn't information that could really do any damage. So. Safe information to tell her. He leaned back in his chair with a sigh.

Mood ring eyes. She bit her lip slightly to keep the comment to herself… Or until the playful banter kicked off. ”Interesting.” Jade remarked, not sure what else to say. Too much talking could cause one of them to slip up and reveal something too personal. Yes, she already knew who he was but she wouldn't take advantage of that during their encounters. Hex on the other hand… She wasn't sure yet. She sighed, ”I really should rest now.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian nodded. "Do you want a bed? The guest bedroom is…a little messy, but the bed sheets and blankets are clean if you would prefer a bed rather than my couch." He replied, standing and brushing his hands off on his legs. "But it's your choice."

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Jade shook her head. ”The couch is fine. I probably shouldn't move too much and I don't really need a lot of space. But I thank you for the offer.” she ran her fingers through her hair. ”I can try to leave in the morning. I’ve inconvenienced you enough already.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian nodded. "Alright." He replied. "I'm heading to my room, then. Uhm…if you want to watch something, then the remotes are right there." He gestured, then started walking to leave the room.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian nodded, and left. He went to his own room, sighing softly as he got ready for bed. Murmuring a spell under his breath, he cast a protective spell over first his room, then a secondary one over the house. No one could enter the house without permission, and no one could enter his room either.
