Silence filled the gap between them. It wasn’t awkward, but it was stifled and odd, since on of them probably wasn’t alive.

Teylie glanced up at Felix and an idea popped into her head "I wonder if you move at night.." she said out loud to no one in particular.
Felix didn’t respond. He probably didn’t. Why would he be doing this just in the morning?
She nodded "I'm going to stay here tonight, I don't have school or work tomorrow and I'm curious," she stood up and glanced at Felix "Don't move, at least right now while I grab supplies." She ran across the street and back to her house, grabbing some food, another blanket and a pillow before running back to Felix.
Felix didn’t move while she was gone. Nor did he say anything. One might think that Tey was crazy for trying to bond with the statue man.
Teylie smiled and sat down again, a bag of marshmallows and chocolate nestled in her arms. She put the pillow behind her head and curled up with her blankets, watching Felix carefully for any sign of movement.
No movement whatsoever. The wind blew the blanket from off of his shoulders, down meekly to his feet.
She sighed and pushed her blankets off of herself, walking ofer and putting the blanket back on Felix's shoulders and tying it so it wouldn't fall off again.
The wind chilled her bones when she was done. Leaves moved past him in the night, skittering around. One almost landed in her coca.
Teylie walked back over to her blankets and snuggled into them again, picking up her cocoa and her marshmallow bag, she watched Felix again as the sky grew darker.
Nothing. Not a move. Not a bat of an eyelash, not a twitch of his extremely chapped lips. Not a twitch, flicker, movement or sound.
Teylie sipped her cocoa and glanced at the sky, looking at the faint stars. She sighed and started humming to no one in particular as she watched him.
It was all quite nice. But it was rather boring and lonely too.
"So, Felix, what was life like before you were a statue?" Teylie asked softly as she continued to wait, seeing that there was no one else on the street besides Felix and herself.
Her voice rung softly in the empty street. His voice was not found to ring with hers on the cold building walls.
She sighed and just started talking about herself, "So, life is pretty ok right now…I mean, I'm in college, have two jobs and yet, here I am, talking to a statue instead of going to a party…" She shook her head "I wish you were real, and I wish I didn't move so far away from my parents." she took a sip of her cocoa as she continued to just talk, hating the silence "I love music and I bet you would too if you were real, I hate silence and being alone, even if I am an introvert. You seem like a nice guy Felix, though so far I haven't heard you say anything." she chuckled at her joke and ate a marshmallow, wishing that Felix was real and that he could answer.
Perhaps she just had to keep trying. And obey her promise to him and find a way to make him real with the money he technically won her.
Teylie smiled and looked around "You know, I'm going to try right now to figure out how to make you real, who should I call?" She pulled out her phone and started looking at her contacts, thinking about who would be the best person to call.
He didn’t respond. The blanket continued its waving, waving, waving in the wind, looking hypnotic and pretty.
"Ryker….he'll know!" She grinned happily "He's my brother.." She added as she looked up at Felix and typed in his number. "Hi Ryker, it's me Teylie! I know this is short notice, but would you mind coming up tomorrow? I have a weird but important request…and I need your help." She continued talking to her brother and arranging him coming up tomorrow before saying goodbye and looking at Felix happily "He's coming up tomorrow, until then I just get to wait, and ask you questions.."
Felix didn’t respond, as usual. He just stared at that poster of the winning lottery card.
Teylie smiled "Thank you Felix, thank you for hinting at the lottery cards," she said softly "Thanks for everything."
Felix didn’t say anything, inevitably. He just stared and stared. Perhaps tomorrow he’d be looking somewhere else.
Teylie tried to stay awake as long as possible, but eventually fell asleep at midnight. She shivered slightly under her blankets and continued to sleep.
Felix, if he were alive, would probably be very cold and tired. But he stared and stood the entire night, his eyes glued to the now closed corner store.
