Felix didn’t say anything. Nor agree. He just stood. He was impassive when the bird gobbled up his gummy, too.

Teylie sighed and waved to Felix, "I promise I'll come back tomorrow, armed with paper and a pencil," she smiled one last time nd jogged across the street and into her house, immediately starting on her homework.

Teylie drove back to her house and glanced over at Felix, smiling happily. She had a sketchpad next to her in her car and she quickly parked, jumping out and jogging over to Felix, paper and pencils in hand.

Unsurprisingly, he didn’t react. He just stood there. He didn’t blink, wave, smile or say anything. He just stared unblinkingly, his clothes still as neat as a pin.

Teylie sat criss-crossed by Felix, smiling like a little kid with candy. "Hey Felix! guess what I have.." she raised the pad of paper and started drawing him, humming lightly.

Well, that’s a clever way to find a drawing model. Just find a random dude on the side of the street, staring endlessly at something.

Teylie glanced up at Felix every so often as she finished her sketch, happy to spend her afternoon drawing.

He wasn’t very hard to draw, but his sharp features proved difficult by default. Especially at the angle she had him at.

"You know," She said as she looked up at him, "You have a very difficult face to draw.." Teylie erased his nose for the fourth time and looked up at him again "I cant draw it right.." she tried again and smiled "That'll have to do.."

It just didn’t do justice to his pointed nose. It seemed so perfect, while on the page it was awkward and fuzzy.

Teylie sighed and carefully tore the page out, starting again from scratch. She tried carefully this time to get the point of his nose right before she went on to the rest of the picture.

Felix’s hair waved majestically in the wind, shimmering a bright blond in the sunlight. If he were… awake, he probably would be a very lovely person.

"Felix…I want to figure out why you are frozen.." she sighed and showed him the picture, semi happy with the result.

He didn’t see it. His gaze didn’t even flicker. He just gazed blankly at the opposite wall of the poor corner store across from him.

Teylie stood up and looked where Felix was looking, wondering what was so special about that corner store.

It was just an old mom and pop corner store. Little posters of sales and lottery posters with blinking, bright signs.

Teylie shook her head and sat back down "I don't know about you sometimes Felix.." she smiled and chuckled lightly as she glanced at the store "What's so special about a little corner store?" she asked Felix.

He didn’t answer. His gaze was just glued to a poster of a pretty woman showing off a lottery ticket.

Teylie stood up and looked back at the corner store, sighing "Am I missing something? What are you looking at?"

Felix literally never moves, talks, or even breathes. Why in the world is she asking such a question that will never get answered?
