(Mkay…)

Spencer had the information Director Barns had asked for, and he was now looking at the folder curiously. His chin was in his hand, elbow resting on his knee, as he sat in the couch with the folder in the table. He couldn’t look through it. He shouldn’t look through it. But he really really wanted to…

Anya was pacing the main room, thinking hard, her arm still aching from whatever she'd done to it earlier… she'd honestly forgotten, in the wake of all that had happened. She trusted Director Barnes, and had completed every mission he'd assigned her without asking any questions. Was she wrong to have done that? There had to have been some mistake… something.

Anya stopped for a moment, then walked over to Spencer and sat down next to him, folding her hands in her lap. "It's just… I just… what did I do for them that they wanted me to do for the wrong reasons? What did I… what if I helped them to… to…" she sighed. "I never asked, you know? I never asked why I had been assigned something. What if… what if this is my fault, somehow?"

Spencer turned to Anya and took her hands in his. “This is not your fault. Any of it. Do not let yourself believe that lie because things will only get worse from there.”

“No, don’t worry about it. You stay here, I’ll go make the tea,” Spencer said softly, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead before he stood and walked to the kitchen.

Anya accepted the cup gratefully. “Thanks,” she said again. “I’m going to assume that it’s not poisoned and just drink it,” she added, a smile crossing her expression for a moment.

//fun :P

“To be honest, I’d probably still drink it anyways,” Anya said, half-joking. She raised the mug to her lips and took a sip, then set the mug down on the side table that exists now and added, “In case you were wondering, it is not, in fact, poison.”
