(Lol. I saw that.)
Married to her… I get to pretend to be married to her… How did this happen? Spencer wondered, hiding the grin that threatened to escape as they walked down the hall.
(Also, post of my birth-year! Lol. XP)
//XD
Should we time skip a bit
(Sure. How 'bout to when they arrive at the room? Or maybe after they figure out their backstory?)
(Urgh, not helpful… I guess I'll just…)
When they reached Spencer's room, he unlocked the door and held it open for Anya to walk in.
"You can just leave the suitcase by the door if you'd like," he suggested.
//I’m sorry
I can’t write today
“Okay,” Anya nodded, setting her suitcase next to the door, but far enough out-of-the-way that nobody would trip on it.
(Lol. It's okay. I'm just hungry because I haven't eaten lunch yet.)
Spencer stepped inside after her and set his suitcase beside hers as he shut the door. "So, any ideas for the backstory?"
//oof.
:P
“I was thinking… we’re a couple, right? So maybe… I’m twenty-nine, you’re thirty? We’ve been married for about two years,” Anya thought aloud. “We should set an anniversary date, for believability.”
"All right, sounds good. What about… November eighteenth?" Spencer suggested, walking over to the kitchen to grab a couple of glasses for water.
“Works for me,” Anya shrugged, following him. “And birthdays… mine will be June twenty-second. You got me…. hang on.”
She retrieved her suitcase from next to the door and brought it over, placing it on the table and opening it. “Hmm… you got me… this!” She pulled out a small green stone hanging on a thin chain. “You bought me this necklace for my last birthday.”
"Looks like I have good taste," Spencer joked with a laugh. "But anyway, my birthday will be December third. You probably got me a tie or something…"
“Sure,” Anya said. “Every guy has a generic blue tie, right? How ‘bout I bought you that?”
Spencer nodded in agreement. "And it's my favorite tie ever. Unfortunately, I left it at home because it was being cleaned."
Anya laughed. “I never knew that ties were sent off to be cleaned…. maybe you ‘lost’ it, but in reality, you purposefully left it behind because you don’t like it very much. You just didn’t tell me, because I would’ve been mad.”
"Right, right," Spencer laughed. "But you think it's being cleaned because that's the excuse I gave for not bringing it."
“Exactly,” Anya smiled, placing the necklace she was holding back in her bag.
"All right, is there anything else?" Spencer wondered.
“I don’t think so…” Anya said thoughtfully. “Oh! Kids! I don’t want any, and you are currently too focused on your job. Maybe? Does that work?”
"Why wouldn't you want kids?" Spencer asked, giving her a confused look.
“I dunno,” Anya shrugged. “I guess it’s easier to explain… because if this assignment ends up being long-term, we can’t actually have kids, so… I dunno, we can figure something else out if you want.”
"No, I guess that makes sense," Spencer said, shaking his head. "Sure, we'll go with that, then."
“Alrighty,” Anya nodded. “Anything we’re missing? Do you want to cover relatives?”
"I think we can just make something up on the spot," Spencer decided with a shrug.
“Good idea,” Anya said, closing her suitcase and walking back over to the door to set it down. “Does the file say when we leave?”
"Looks like…" Spencer trailed off as he looked at the file. "A couple of days."
