(Seriously. I hope they explain in the Black Widow movie.)
Spencer had ushered the president and his daughter into an empty, darkened room. Shutting the door, he flicked the lights on.
"Sir, you should really sit down," he said as he gently pushed President McCallister into a chair. The president nodded dumbly, sitting without a fight. His young daughter climbed into his lap, her eyes wide. Spencer smiled softly at her. "Hey, it'll be okay, kid. Don't worry, I'm here to protect you and your daddy."
//ikr I gtg rn lol I’ll comment later
Anya walked out of the room nonchalantly. It did not take her long to find the room Spencer had stopped in. She slipped in and muttered, “We have to move.”
Spencer nodded once, picking the girl up and handing her to Anya.
"You take her again, and I'll help the president. This time, don't leave without someone guarding your back," he said, his voice holding no room for argument.
Anya rolled her eyes and shrugged. “Fine. But you’d better not die.” She smiled at the girl and held her hand.
“We’ll be okay, sweetheart,” she murmured. “You and your daddy will be alright. I promise.”
Anya looked up at Spencer. “Let’s go.”
Spencer helped the president stand before walking over to the door. He quickly checked to be sure no one was looking, then turned to nod at Anya, signaling that the coast was clear. Holding President McCallister by the arm, Spencer walked out, careful not to be seen.
“Alright,” Anya told the daughter. “I’m going to walk confidently, but you need to slouch and look scared. My grip on your wrist might be a little tight, but we are going to get out of here.”
The girl nodded, and Anya began the act.
They passed a few guards, who Spencer simply nodded to, his face blank of all emotion. Each person let them pass without question, they looked like they were simply on a mission for Ana-Maria.
Anya’s grip on the girl’s wrist was hard, and her expression the same. Nobody attempted to stop her.
(I'm so worried about Sly. – From last night.
This morning – still worried, but hoping things got a bit better.)
Spencer rounded a corner and suddenly came to a full stop, his eyebrows shooting up for just a moment in surprise. Eliza paced the hall in front of him, and he didn't know what to do. Slowly, he started to back away and turn back around the corner.
//same. He scared me so bad.
(Yeah, I couldn't stop thinking about it.)
//me neither. I prayed so so hard.
I’ll continue tomorrow
(All right.
I feel like a lot more people on here pray than I thought did/would.)
//yeah I felt the same
I was kinda surprised
(It's cool, though. I like not being the only one! XD)
(sighs When you've got your license so your parents make you drive to the grocery store for them…)
Anya marched the little girl down seemingly endless hallways. Only after she was two levels away from the exit did she realize that she hadn’t formulated a plan.
She’d done her homework, sure. She knew the layout of the White House from its bottommost bunker to its topmost gun turret. But she had no idea who was outside, or what side they would be on. And she could not afford to hand the president’s daughter off to the wrong person.
(Eh. My stepdad came with and bought me candy, so it was fine.)
Eliza turned and saw Spencer backing away with the president. She smiled, stopping her pacing, and motioned for him to come over.
//lol
So what do I do now?
(Idk. Lol. I had thought Anya was with Spencer…)
//lol i can make her bump into him
