Spencer fell back to let Anya catch up.
"Maybe we should switch. You can take her, and I'll take Mr. President," he suggested, bouncing the girl on his back a bit.
Spencer fell back to let Anya catch up.
"Maybe we should switch. You can take her, and I'll take Mr. President," he suggested, bouncing the girl on his back a bit.
“Kay,” Anya agreed, taking the girl and picking her up in a fireman’s-lift before running fort the door, her leg throbbing in tune with her heart.
Go, go, go.
Tugging the president along with him, Spencer hurried after Anya. They were so close, so close to the door. If they could just make it out, they would be safer, right?
The doors swung wide open, and the woman Anya had choked out earlier stood there, looking imposing with her hands on her hips and glaring at everyone in the room.
“Dammit,” Anya muttered, stopping dead in her tracks. To the woman, she said, “Hey, I have a kid here, scared out of her mind, you know? I’m just going to go…. Kay byeeee.” She tried to run around the woman, but she shot out her arm. Anya barely missed getting hit in the face.
(Is that a mole in your pic?)
Spencer groaned. Great. This was just going to go so well…
"Not so fast," the blonde woman clipped, not even looking at Anya. Raising her voice, she addressed the room's other occupants, who had frozen in their tracks, "Who's in charge, here? And what, exactly, is going on?"
The other woman, who had been speaking to the crowd, spoke up, "That would be me, dear."
//nah man its a niffler
“Ugh.” Anya stood in front of the girl, protecting her in case anything went wrong. She watched the scene with annoyed curiosity.
(…Idk what that is…
Anya "stoood"
Everyone's getting matching profile pics. Lol.)
"And who are you, might I ask?" the blonde questioned.
"Depends on who's asking," stated the other.
Spencer subtly moved closer to Anya, still dragging the president with him.
The blonde bowed overdramatically. "Eliza Huntington – assassin."
//lol its from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
We’re doomed, Anya thought. (Is it ok if they trained together) Anya took another protective step backwards in a move to protect the girl better.
(What do you mean? Like, Anya and Eliza trained together?)
That's not good… Unless she's bluffing. Hopefully, she's bluffing and not really an assassin.
Eliza straightened and grinned at the woman who still stood on the podium. The woman narrowed her eyes at her, seeming suspicious.
"All right, Ms. Huntington," she started, crossing her arms and shifting to a somewhat more intimidating stance. "I am Ana-Maria Rosetti."
//is it ok tho if they trained together
“Holy (starts with s ends with t),” Anya whispered, her voice hushed. “You’re kidding.”
(I guess? I'm still not sure what you mean…)
"What?" Spencer asked quietly, now standing at Anya's side. "What's up?"
//the assassin lady and Anya in a red-room like place
“She’s a… ahh, its difficult to explain,” Anya said, still subtly backing the girl out of the room. “Let’s just leave it at the fact that she’s powerful.”
//who is she
(Yeah, that sounds good.
Well, I was going to have her be bluffing about the assassin thing, but I guess she could technically still be trained as an assassin. I kinda wanted her to be on their side. She was really just a character I threw in to give some action to this RP, lol.)
Spencer frowned. "Well, isn't that just perfect…" he muttered under his breath.
Eliza had walked over to Ana-Maria, and the two women were talking. This was their chance to escape. No one was watching them, all eyes were on the assassin and frightening speaker.
"We need to go. Now," Spencer declared in a whisper.
//well its up to you bout the assassin thing lol
“Nope. You need to go, now,” Anya hissed back. “Get the girl, get the president, run. I’ll hold off any pursuers from this side.” Seeing the look on Spencer’s face, she added, “No. Arguing. Go.”
(I think she'll just be bluffing, then.)
Spencer's jaw clenched as he glared at Anya, but he didn't argue. He knew it was pointless, she'd never agree to anything else. Gosh, she was so stubborn!
"Fine," he clipped, taking the girl from her and grabbing the president by his arm. "But I'm coming back here once they're safe."
//sounds good
“These lies, Spencer,” Anya grinned. “No, you’re going to protect them and get out of here. When I’ve protected you, I will leave. Simple.” She gave him a just-listen-to-me look. “I’ll be fine. Go.”
"Okay," Spencer said, though he didn't necessarily intend to do so. "Be careful, and don't take any unnecessary risks."
“C’mon, man, it’s me. Since when to I ‘take any unnecessary risks’?” Anya said sarcastically. “Now go.”
Spencer nodded once before ushering the first family out as quickly as possible. They made it past the doors and down the hall without coming across a single guard or anyone else. Everyone must have been in the meeting room.
Anya stepped forwards a bit, subtly, trying to cover the sudden disappearance of three people, two of which were grown men and one of which was the president.
Ana-Maria suddenly looked over Eliza's shoulder, frowning when she didn't see the president.
"Where did he go?" she demanded, looking around. "Someone find him!"
Eliza grabbed her arm, stopping her. "No, no. It's okay. One of my men took him somewhere to make a deal with him," she assured Ana, who narrowed her eyes at her.
"All right, I suppose that's okay…"
Anya didn’t move or make a sound. One of my men…. she could be bluffing, trying to help us. Or…. no, stop it. This isn’t going to be like (just for kicks ima say) Budapest.
(What happened in Budapest?
…We may never know…)
"Why don't we go back to the president's office and talk some things over, yeah?" Eliza suggested, turning Ana around so that she was no longer facing Anya and the door.
"Uh… Sure, okay…" Ana agreed, seemingly oblivious.
Once they were headed away from the main entrance and Ana wasn't paying attention, Eliza turned and subtly nodded at Anya. Go, get the president to safety.
//ikr like TELL ME
Anya didn’t acknowledge Eliza, nor did she move immediately, but anyone with half a brain would know that Anya had understood. She waited a few minutes and then subtly walked off.
