"H-Hey, Marco…" Lucas started packing up their things. Black crept in at the corners of his vision, but he ignored it.
"H-Hey, Marco…" Lucas started packing up their things. Black crept in at the corners of his vision, but he ignored it.
Marco looked over and noticed him packing up. "I wouldn't bother with that " he said softly, "We're not going anywhere in this weather."
"Alright…" Lucas sat down, his eyes slightly unfocused. He leaned against the cave wall tiredly.
"You okay?" Asked Marco, watching him.
Lucas nodded. "Yeah, m'fine… nothing I can't handle."
Marco hummed softly, "Alright…"
Lucas watched Skye quietly, waiting for him to wake up. Small bursts of light emanated from his body, along with puffs of smoke.
Skye slept soundly, seeming to have known they weren't going anywhere.
It might be a while… Lucas brought his knees up to his chest and hid his face again, trying to contain the magic.
Marco watched him, eventually getting up and squatting in front of him. "You sure you're alright?".
Lucas looked up at Marco, his face flushed from the fever. He was trembling slightly and opened his mouth to say something, but nothing came out.
Marco gently brushed his fingers over the other's cheek, and sighed. "You're as bad as your boyfriend" he mumbled, reaching into his bag and pulling out some advil.
"W-What's that?" Lucas eyed the advil suspiciously. He'd never actually been allowed to have pain meds before.
"Pain medication, and it should help with the fever too…" he said softly.
"It probably won't help with the fever… it's not an ordinary one." Nonetheless, Lucas took the pill, albeit with some difficulty.
Marco hummed, "Yeah but I cant just leave you hanging…"
Lucas nodded quietly. "When do you think Skye will be up?"
"Eventually" said Marco, he had a hard time sleeping last night since the thunder was so loud.
"Okay…" Lucas fell silent, hoping the meds would work soon.
Marco nodded, moving to leave Lucas alone.
Lucas hid his face again, his head feeling heavy. He still had a headache and he knew the medicine wouldn't help his fever much. It was a magic induced fever, after all. He kept his face hidden in his knees until he heard Skye stir.
Skye yawned, shifting back to flop on his back. "Has the rain stopped yet?"
"No…" Lucas said quietly in a vaguely hoarse voice. His face was still flush with fever, and he stayed where he was. The Advil had helped some, but his body was still aching.
Skye looked over at him and immediately sat up when he saw the other, "What happened to you?" he asked worriedly.
"I'm okay… it's just a fever." Lucas smiled weakly in an attempt to reassure Skye.
