Skye kept polishing, lifting the blade to see that the sun shone off of it, revealing ever nick in the egde.

"Where did you get them?" Lucas folded his hands in his lap, watching intently. "The blades."
Skye looked up at him, "To be honest I don't know where they came from. All I know is that they used to belong to my mother, and she would never sell them for anything."
"Mm…" Lucas was quiet for a little while. "I don't think my family ever owned any blades. W-Well, other than razor blades… I had some of them."
"Like I said, I have no idea why my mom had a pair of swords lying around the house." said Skye.
Lucas nodded, his eyes flicking across the edge of the blade. His hands itched to grab and it use it how they knew best. Sharp… they'd be good for- no! Stop thinking about that!
Skye finished polishing the one, then picked up the rock, using it to sharpen the blade.
"J-Just to let you know, you probably shouldn't let me handle anything sharp. I… I don't trust myself with them." Lucas closed his hands so he wouldn't do anything drastic.
Skye looked up at him, before nodding sadly.
Lucas crossed his arms tightly over his chest, not trusting his hands. Part of him really wanted to cut into his skin again, but the other part was screaming that it was wrong and he shouldn't do that to Skye. Lucas looked down at the partially healed wound on his forearm where he'd cut deep with his pocket knife just a few days earlier.
Skye hummed in concern, but didn't stop. His weapons needed to be cared for.
"Skye… don't be alarmed, but you're probably going to have to hide the blades at night. I'm not sure if I can control myself."
Skye nodded sadly, "I will if you need me to." he said softly.
"T-Thanks… I just really don't want to do something that'll hurt you…" Lucas knew he could use healing magic on himself, but he never really wanted to.
Skye nodded, continuing with his blades.
Lucas closed his eyes, trying to avoid being tempted by the blades. He dug his nails into his skin, accidentally drawing blood without even noticing.
Skye didn't even notice the blood in his palms as he finished one blade, sheathed it, and drew the other.
Lucas suddenly noticed the blood on his hands. "Ah! I-I'm sorry… I didn't mean to… you know…" He stared down at his hands.
Skye blinked in surprise when the other spoke again, "It's okay…. but please try mot to hurt yourself…."
"I'm trying…" Lucas closed his hands again, a drop of blood falling onto the grass. What should I do? He hesitated for a few seconds before using healing magic on himself, which got rid of the wounds and blood. He'd never healed himself before, so it felt very strange.
Skye hummed, watching him as hepolished the sword.
Lucas kept quiet from then on, careful not to hurt himself by accident. Marco seemed to have gone out again.
Skye eventually finished with that one too, sheathing it, and restrapping both to his back.
Lucas sighed softly in relief once the blades were out of sight. He honestly didn't trust himself around sharp things.
Skye hummed, lying down on the grass.
