Skye hummed softly, "No idea Lucas…." he murmured.

Thunder sounded again and Lucas tensed up. "F-Fantastic… hopefully not too long…" At the very least, his clothes were drying out somewhat, which would make him marginally less cold.

Marco hummed softly, "Unfortunatly I doubt this is going to let up anytime soon…" he murmured.

Lucas nodded, drawing his knees up to his chest. He didn't have any magic that would effectively dry him off or make him warmer, so that was out of the question. He could hear very strong winds from outside the cave, and it sounded like hail was pounding against the forcefield.

Skye hummed, glad he'd set up the shield as he watched lightening flash outside.

Lucas looked over at the entrance. "Skye… I-I think the forcefield is cracking…" A large piece of hail cracked the barrier enough to make a small hole, strong winds trying to burst through the rest of the way.

Skye looked up, pulling away and shifting back as he got to his feet, using his auras to repair and strengthen the sheild.

Lucas stood and put up a forcefield of his own behind Skye's for extra reinforcement. He didn't want anything to break while they were sleeping.

Skye smiled at him, watching as Marco added a seal, reinforcing the entire thing. "That should keep us safe…" said Skye.

Lucas nodded and sat back down by the fire quietly, closing his eyes in hopes that he would be able to tune out the sound of thunder and hail.

Skye watched as a particularly huge flash illuminated the sky, wincing as the following crash of thunder rang through the air,l a small whimper escaping as the sound left his ears ringing.

Lucas flinched and hid his face in his arms, which were crossed over his knees. Just don't think about it. He glanced over at Skye and pet him gently, trying to reassure him as well.

Skye groaned, "It's not that I'm scared…" he mumbled, still enjoying the pets, "It hurts my ears…."

Lucas nodded, but didn't stop petting Skye. "I-I'm not scared of storms either. Just loud noises…"

"Well we can both hate loud noises together…" he murmured.

"Mhmm…" Lucas relaxed slightly, although he still tensed up at thunder. Once it had gotten pretty late, he lay down next to the fire with Skye.
(What if Lucas eventually learned transformation magic and was able to turn into a doggo as well lol)

Skye hummed, gettting a headache from the loud crashes of thunder, but sucking it up since there really was nothing to be done.

(He would be like, a golden retriever, and he would be adorable. I'd have to give him a fever tho)
Lucas eventually fell asleep with one arm wrapped around Skye. He seemed to be a lot more comfortable with Skye touching him when Skye was in wolf form. He didn't have any negative memories of dogs, after all.

(That could be doable given their current situation. Also remember Skye's not a dog. He's a wolf.)
Skye had noticed that the other was more comfortable when he was in wolf form, and sighed. He wished the other didn't have so many reasons not to trust others.

(I know, but Lucas basically connects Skye with the pet dog he used to have and that's a good comfort thing for him)
When Lucas woke up, it was still dark outside. He felt freezing, and yet he felt like heat was emanating from inside his body. God damn it… He groaned softly when he realized what that meant. I don't have time for this…

(I know, but the distinction is still important)
Skye slept soundly, not realizing the other's problems.

I'll just… sleep, I guess. Lucas lay back down, ignoring his growing headache to the best of his ability. He knew he likely wouldn't be able to get back to sleep.

Skye snored softly in his sleep.

When it was finally morning, Lucas opened his eyes groggily. Yeah, I didn't get any more sleep… He yawned and stood up, still wanting to be helpful even though he felt like crap.

Marco was at the entrance of the cave, watching the rain which still hadn't let up.
