Marco took the opening, lashing out with his own aura. "It's okay, don't drain yourself" he told the other, watching as Skye took out the Hjnters on by one.
Marco took the opening, lashing out with his own aura. "It's okay, don't drain yourself" he told the other, watching as Skye took out the Hjnters on by one.
Lucas nodded silently, but he didn't stop what he was doing. His vision kept fading in and out and he was breathing heavily.
Marco gripped his shoulder tightly, "You need to stop or you'll hurt yourself, and then Skye will never give himself a rest on it."
"I-I… alright…" Lucas formed a very weak forcefield around himself and Marco before sitting down, watching as the hunters' numbers dwindled.
Marco carefully replaced it with his own, holding the other protectively as Skye fought off the last of them.
Lucas was incredibly lightheaded by now, his eyes focusing and unfocusing as he looked up at Skye. He was glad to help, but he had an awful headache now.
Skye had soon finished up with the last of them, he had a few injuries, but nothing horrible aside from bruised ribs.
Lucas watched Skye as he approached, his ears ringing too much to really understand what was happening or what was being said. "S-Skye…?"
Skye knelt next to him, restoring the other's magic, before pulling him close tiredly.
Lucas sighed as the flush of energy went through his body and hugged Skye. He was still exhausted, but he could at least see clearly now.
Ske was still bleeding from several cuts on his arms and legs, and a gash on his chest, but he didn't care.
Lucas noticed the marks from the cuts on his arms as well, but didn't think much of them. In the moment, he figured they were just his own. "Are you okay…?" He asked quietly.
Skye had more or less passed out hugging him, exhausted from the use of his aura, which he hadn't used in ages, and the fight, and the blood lss.
"S-Skye?!" Lucas started panicking when Skye didn't respond, feeling lightheaded himself. No no no no no… please wake up…
Marco quickly pulled Skye away from Lucas, and stripped the other's shirt to start taking care of the gashes. None were serious, but they could be if left unattended. "He's fine, he just fainted from keeping control of his aura."
Lucas approached again, trying to control his breathing. He held his hands over Skye's body and a soft blue light came from his palms. The cuts faded with the use of healing magic Lucas had forgotten he could use. He never used it on himself since he'd wanted the cuts to be there.
Marco looked up at him in surprise, but nodded, "Well that's even more usefull"
Lucas nodded as well, sitting back as he brushed a few tears from his eyes. Hestill seemed to be panicking, but he at least knew that Skye would be alright.
Skye lay there quietly, before stirring, coming to slowly.
"S… S-Skye?" Lucas whispered, watching as his soulmate stirred. Lucas's condition still hadn't improved.
Skye hummed, his eyes fluttering open, "Y-Yeah… I-I'm here…"
Lucas hugged Skye tightly, sobbing into his shoulder. "T-Thank god you're okay…"
Skye blinked in confusion, before Marco told him he'd fainted. Quickly he hugged the other back, "Hey it's okay… I'm not gonna leave you that easily…"
"You were… y-you were hurt… I-I had to fix you." Lucas wouldn't let go of Skye. Having lost his mother and brother, he was terrified of losing people he cared about.
Skye hugged him tightly, realizing the gashes were gone, "Hey… it's okay I promise…"
