Lucas woke up a few minutes after they got back, seeming disoriented. "W-What happened…?"
Lucas woke up a few minutes after they got back, seeming disoriented. "W-What happened…?"
"You left, cut yourself, and passed out…" he said softly, trying not to let hurt show in his voice.
Lucas froze, staring at Skye in shock before looking at his arm to make sure it was true. "O-Oh my g-god… I'm… I-I'm so sorry, I wasn't thinking straight, a-and…" His voice trailed off weakly. What is someone supposed to say in this situation?
Skye hugged him, burying his face in the other's shoulders. "It's okay… you're okay.." he said quietly.
"I'm so sorry…" Lucas whispered again, hugging Skye tightly. The memories of the previous night were steadily coming back to him, and it made him nauseous just to think about it. "I-I shouldn't have gone… I just felt like I was… w-was burdening you and that you'd be better off without me…"
Skye hugged him tighter, "No… I don't want you to leave," he said.
"M-My dad… he's still at home, right? He's not coming to hurt me?" Lucas grimaced when his ribcage was compressed slightly.
"I-I don't know where he is, but he won't get near you… not if I can help it…"
Lucas nodded, not wanting to let go of Skye. He knew he had good intentions for leaving, but it wasn't one of his best decisions. He looked at the deep cut in his arm, running his thumb along it and wincing.
Skye caught his hand, puling it away and pulling the other down on top of him.
Lucas's breathing hitched while this was happening, and he ended up holding his breath. What's happening?
Skye hugged him, cuddling him nothing more.
After a bit, Lucas managed to relax somewhat. He was still noticeably nervous, but had got himself more comfortable with this.
Skye smiled up at him, relaxing slightly.
Lucas managed to fully relax after several minutes, finally comfortable with how close Skye was holding him. Typically he would have panic attacks when confined, and he'd felt pretty close at first, but he was more trusting of Skye than anyone else he could think of.
Skye smiled, hugging him, "Love you…."
"L-Love you too…" It had been so long since Lucas could honestly say he loved someone. The last people he had loved were his mother and Claus, and they'd been dead for eight years.
Skye smiled happily, his grip tightening slightly.
Lucas winced, but stayed quiet. His ribs were still bruised and everything hurt.
Skye noticed it, loosening his grip. "Are you okay?"
"Mhmm… j-just a little sore…" He said quietly, keeping his eyes closed.
Skye nodded, cuddling him.
After a while of laying still, Lucas managed to fall asleep cuddled up to Skye.
Skye smiled, close to drifting off as well.
(Time skip to something? Should we come up with some sort of plot?)
