Skye eventually sighed, putting the lock back on before turning and curling in on himself.
Skye eventually sighed, putting the lock back on before turning and curling in on himself.
Once Lucas was sure that Skye had fallen asleep, he quietly got up and left. "I'm sorry…" He whispered before closing the door. He ran back to his house, where he was met by his livid father. "Where have you been, boy?!" "I-I was just…" Lucas was slapped hard across the face. "You tried to run away, didn't you?!" "N… N-No…" A few punches. "Don't lie to me, boy!" His father threw him to the ground and started giving him some new bruises.
Skye woke up a couple hours after he had fallen asleep. sitting up groggily he looked around for Lucas, quickly becoming panicked when he saw the other wasn't there.
"D-Dad, please…!" "If you don't shut your mouth, boy, I'll get the damn shotgun you hear?" Lucas nodded nervously, watching his father chug his beer. Once he'd finished the beer, he threw the bottle at Lucas, shattering it. This left several cuts on Lucas's head, shoulders, and arms that were actively bleeding, but he kept quiet.
Skye felt a sting of pain on his arm, and quickly pulled up his sleeve to find new bruises and cuts. His heart sunk as he realized where the other had went. Why would he go back….? he thought, curling in on himself, not sure what to do since he didn't know where to find the other.
After a few more minutes of this, Lucas's father went inside. I was stupid to come back here… I need to get back to Skye. Lucas forced himself to stand up and started limping as quickly as he could back to the city. "S-Skye?" He called out. "I'm… I-I'm sorry… please help…" I don't even know if he can hear me… Lucas thought to himself as he slid down a wall and brought his knees up to his chest, crying softly.
Skye wasn't sure what to do, but he did feel just a little betrayed. He didn't understand why the other had left, though he figured it was cause he had done something to drive the other away. Eventually he pulled a marker out of the filing cabinet, and pressed it to his arm. 'Why?' he wrote, unsure if the other would see it or not.
Lucas looked at his arm and saw the writing. He shakily pulled out his knife and wrote back a simple, I'm sorry. He didn't want to cut himself any more than that so he wouldn't hurt Skye more, but he couldn't stop himself. His mind felt distant from his body as he watched the knife begin cutting a deep, clean gash into his forearm. No… not right now… please…
Skye felt his heart break even more when the other cut a reply. no… nonononononononono he thought getting up and racing into the alleyways, heading back to where he'd first met the other to look for him.
(If Lucas and Skye don't meet up this could be bad oof)
Lucas dropped his knife and stood up unsteadily, his head buzzing as his arm quickly lost blood. He held his arm against his chest in hopes that his hoodie would soak up some of the blood as he kept running. "Skye! H-Help! Please…"
Skye only had instinct to go on as he ran, tearing through alleys as fast as he could. Soon he was near where they had first met, and he called out, "Lucas!! Where are you??"
Lucas looked up and saw the blurry figure of Skye somewhere near him. "S-Skye…?" He called out weakly, his vision swiftly fading. He knew there wasn't much time until his adrenaline ran out, when he would collapse soon after.
Skye looked around a moment longer before finally spotting Lucas. Rushing to the other's side he scooped the other up and hugged him tightly, "Please tell me you're okay.. please…" he said worriedly.
Lucas sobbed into Skye's chest, shaking violently. He didn't say much intelligible other than profuse, incessant apologies. He didn't seem to be fully in his right mind, and his blood was still steadily soaking into his hoodie.
Skye saw the blood and paled, carrying the other to an alleyway and setting him down gently. carefully he slipped off his leather hoodie-jacket, and pulled off his shirt, ripping strips out of it to use for bandages, quickly binding the other's arm, and then his own. If you took a good look at his now bare torso you'd see the other's ribs, along with thin muscles, he wasn't skeletal, but he was still thin, too thin.
"I'm sorry… I-I'm sorry…" Lucas whispered from the ground, still trembling uncontrollably. There was a mix of fear, pain, and a certain distance in his eyes. He could hardly think straight, and his vision kept blurring and darkening.
Skye knelt next to him, pulling the other close against his chest. "It's okay… you're safe now.. please don't cry…" he murmured.
"H-He's going to come f-for me… I-I'm sorry…" Lucas was in no state to make himself stop hyperventilating, and he gripped Skye's wrist tightly. He couldn't stop himself from crying either, much as he wanted to.
Skye pulled the other against his chest, holding him and trying to calm the other down. "It's okay, please" he murmured.
Lucas simply cried quietly as he wrapped his arms around Skye's chest. He still wasn't able to stop his muffled apologies, which were really the only distinguishable thing he said.
(Bump)
(SORRY! BEEN OUT AT CANADA'S WONDERLAND ALL DAY AND OMG IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Lucas simply cried quietly as he wrapped his arms around Skye's chest. He still wasn't able to stop his muffled apologies, which were really the only distinguishable thing he said.
Skye held him tightly, still trying to comfort him.
(Ooo Noice)
After a couple minutes, Lucas's cries subsided. He hadn't necessarily calmed down, but he'd fallen unconscious.
Skye held him worriedly, eventually getting up to take him back.
