“It’s short for Solaris,” he replied with a smile. “My sister’s name is Krystal, but she goes by Kris. Our mother had a thing for nature-related names. What about you? Joey short for anything?”

@Fraust

Joey nodded a bit as he listened along, and again at the question. "Mhmm. Joiexiel, since angel naming is weird. Apparently most people are 'Josiah' or 'Joseph' or something of the like."

@Skylark

“Joiexiel,” Sol said, trying out the name. “That’s a lovely name. One more question for now: how old are you? Angels are immortal, correct?”

@Fraust

"Thanks… and yes, angels are immortal. I'm about 300, but I don't like to count." Joey shrugged a bit, huddling closer to Sol. "Do you wanna go to my room? N-Not to… do anything, of course, b-but I've got a TV in there too and the bed is probably a lot more comfortable for the two of us than the couch."

@Skylark

“Sure,” Sol replied. He stood, Joey still in his arms, and carefully made his way across the apartment, watching out for both their wings. The angel was so light, and so so soft. So couldn’t remember the last time he cuddled with someone…

@Fraust

Joey looked up as the two of them entered his bedroom. It was fairly neat, and he didn't seem to have a ton of possessions. A little less than half the room was occupied by a large, circular bed with lots of soft pillows on blankets on it. It was almost like a nest, or a cloud. "Do you have round beds too?" He asked curiously. "They're very common with angels to accommodate our wings more comfortably. Very few people have different kinds."

@Skylark

Gently lowering Joey onto the bed, Sol nodded. “Yeah, we use them, too,” he said. “I remember being so relieved when they were invented. I had never slept so comfortably with my wings out.”

@Fraust

"Mhmm!" Joey stretched his wings out and relaxed, seeming more comfortable on the bed. "And I don't really need a ton of blankets since I can just sleep under my wings. Usually I've got one or two, though, just cuz I like them and I get cold super easy."

@Skylark

Sol pulled off his shoes and settled into the bed next to Joey, extending his wings. “Yeah, i’ve got a blanket, but it’s more to hold than anything,” he said. “I run pretty warm.”

@Fraust

Joey huddled up against Sol, settling himself flush up against the taller man. "Well, I guess that's good for me, then. I can steal your warmth!" He grinned and shuffled closer, stretching his wings out on the bed.

@Skylark

Sol smiled, wrapping an arm around Joeys waist. “Feel free to take all of my warmth,” he sighed happily, nuzzling his hair. He reached out with his other hand to affectionately stroke Joey’s wing.

@Fraust

Joey shuddered again when Sol started petting his wings, burying his face in the man's chest. "Mmmmmm~…" His wings fluffed up a bit and fluttered at Sol's every little touch.

@Skylark

Chuckling, Sol continued to caress the angel’s wings, finding his reactions cute. Sol felt warm inside, happier than he’d been in a while. Stars, was he glad he went to the bookstore yesterday.

@Fraust

Joey held tighter to Sol, quivering a bit along with his wings. After a bit, he pulled the blanket over the two of them, seemingly cold. "Mmm… that feels nice. I don't think anyone's ever really touched my wings like that before."

@Skylark

Holding Joey closer, Sol smiled softly. “Amongst my people, it’s a way of showing comfort or affection to someone you care for,” he said, still lightly stroking Joey’s wing. “I have not been this close to another winged being in a long time.”

@Fraust

"Mm~…" Joey arched his back a bit and shivered. "Angels aren't usually super touchy feely with each other… they wanna be formal and professional all the time or something, I dunno."

@Skylark

“That’s a shame,” Sol said, caressing the arching curve of Joey’s wing. “I can’t say fey are the same in that regard.” Far from it, physical affection and jostling each other was a large part of fey dynamics.

@Fraust

Joey trilled softly at the attention, shifting around a bit and burying his face in Sol's chest. Even though he wasn't used to it, he seemed to like it. "Y-Yeah… we're not normally supposed to touch each other. Angels are weird."

@Skylark

((hi, sorry, it’s been a weird couple weeks and i’m online off and on. would you still want to continue? i can’t guarantee consistency, so i understand if you don’t))

@Skylark

(ahaha sorry i fell back asleep)

Sol continued to solftly brush Joey’s wing. He frowned a bit, saddened that Joey had never received affection like this.
“Certainly different than fey,” he replied. “I can’t imagine what that’s like. My family and fey friends have always been very physically affectionate.”
