"Mm~…" Joey nuzzled against Sol affectionately. "But we both have to work sometimes! And what if you're working and I'm not or something? I don't have a whole lot of your clothes, and they're not the same as you!"
"Mm~…" Joey nuzzled against Sol affectionately. "But we both have to work sometimes! And what if you're working and I'm not or something? I don't have a whole lot of your clothes, and they're not the same as you!"
Sol huffed another laugh, returning Joey’s affectionate nuzzling with a soft purr. “You could move in here,” he said, then flushed. “I-I mean, if you want. No one stays over, so you could have the guest room, then we would see each other everyday.”
Joey flushed as well, considering while he toyed with Sol's hair. "I-I dunno… maybe. I'll think about it, anyway. It's a big decision, you know? For both of us."
Sol covered his blushing face with a hand. “I know, I’m sorry, it just came to mind and I didn’t think,” he murmured. “Definitely think it over, and I understand if you don’t want to, but my door is always open to you.”
"Don't apologize!" Joey insisted, waving his hands in front of himself a bit. "It's really fine! I'm just not sure I'm ready to move in full time yet. I might stay over a couple nights a week, though."
“Whatever you’re comfortable with,” Sol said softly, a small smile making its way across his face. “That you would even consider it is a gift.”
Joey smiled shyly and nodded, flushing a bit. "Yeah… I might at some point, but moving is a big thing, you know? Gotta make sure I can even get everything in order."
“Of course,” Sol nodded with a smile, nudging Joey’s nose with his own. “It is hard to pick up and move your life, I completely understand. I want you to to happy, so do whatever you think is best.”
He nodded again, curling up in Sol's arms. "Mm… I'm very happy. I do like how it is now, honestly. If I do end up moving in full-time, it might be a longer process. I wouldn't want to permanently move out of my apartment on a whim, after all."
Purring softly, Sol shifted to better hold Joey close, cuddling him affectionately. “Makes sense, love,” he said, kissing Joey’s forehead. “It could be months or years in the future, whenever you want, if you ever want it.”
"Mm… yeah. Hopefully not years, but… you know." He yawned and returned the affection, closing his eyes as he relaxed into Sol's gentle touch. "I'm still working on meeting your family and friends."
“You can meet Kris and Alistair soon,” Sol promised with a smile, gently rubbing circles on Joey’s back. “I only have a couple other friends who I’m close enough to to warrant meeting them.” He paused, a nervous look suddenly overtaking his face. “You know, I never have asked you…” he mumbled.
Joey looked up at Sol curiously, his wings fluttering. "Hmm? Never have asked me what?" He asked, clearly more than a little confused.
Sol flushed, biting his lip. “Well… I’ve been meaning to ask… I just-“ he rambled, uncharacteristically nervous. Get it together! “I’m happy with you, and I love cuddling and pet names… and I’ve been wanting to ask if you’d like to be together… officially? As boyfriends?”
"Oh!" Joey flushed as well, definitely taken aback. He was surprised by the question and hadn't really considered it much before, simply assuming that he and Sol were already in a relationship considering all the kissing and cuddling. "Y-Yeah, of course! I'd love to."
Sol breathed a sigh of relief. He had been pretty sure Joey would say yes, but worried that even all the cuddling and kissing had just been platonic— still loving, but not in a romantic way. With how Joey had said he lacked physical affection in his earlier life, Sol thought that maybe he didn’t mean anything else behind the reciprocal affection. “Oh thank the stars,” he murmured, pressing kisses along Joey’s hairline. “I just wanted to be sure it’s what you wanted, too.”
"Y-Yeah, I… uh… kinda assumed we were already sorta dating." He smiled sheepishly up at Sol, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. "I'm happy to actually make it official, though. Makes it less confusing, I guess."
A bright smile broke across Sol’s face. “You did?” he asked delightedly. “That’s actually really good to hear. I felt like we were, but I wanted to be sure. Stars, I’m so happy right now, estello.” He took Joey’s hand away from his neck and kissed each knuckle with smiling lips. “So happy”
Joey grinned brightly and flushed harder when Sol kissed his hand, partially hiding his red face with his free hand. "Me too… it's been a while since I've actually been in a relationship with anyone."
Sol nodded, moving Joey’s other hand to pepper kisses across his flushed cheeks. “I haven’t been in a relationship in decades, so please forgive me if I’m a tad over enthusiastic,” he said between pecks, smiling fondly at Joey.
"Mmmm… that's alright. I like the attention~" Joey flushed a deeper red at all the kisses, shy and flustered.
“You’re so cute, sweetheart,” Sol cooed, not ceasing his barrage of small kisses. He could happily do this all day. “Would it be too much to ask to kiss you properly?”
"Mmmmmm…" Joey tilted his chin down, whining softly in protest. He looked up at Sol after a moment and paused before leaning up to properly kiss him on the lips.
Sol’s heart melted at the press of Joey’s lips and he tilted his head to better kiss him, purring softly. After a moment, he pulled back and pressed their foreheads together. “Estello,” he murmured happily.
"Tesoro." He murmured in reply, nuzzling against Sol affectionately. "Thank you for sticking around, Sol… sticking with me…"
