Joey nodded a bit and kissed Sol's cheek, huddling closer so that he could finish the movie with him.
Sol purred softly and settled back comfortably to hold Joey as the movie continued
Joey actually stayed awake through the rest of the movie, although he wasn't too invested in it. He glanced up at Sol when the credits started rolling.
Sol clicked the TV off and looked at Joey with a smile, leaning down slightly to nuzzle his hair.
Joey smiled brightly, returning the nuzzles as well as he could. "What do you wanna do now?"
“Well, we should probably get up at some point, maybe we could get coffee?” Sol offered.
"Mmm… sure. Sounds good to me." Joey sat up and yawned, stretching a bit.
Sol rose, stretching his wings and hugging Joey from behind.
"Where do you wanna go?" He asked, smoothing out his clothes. "Should I change?"
“There’s a cafe near here that I like,” Sol replied. “Wear whatever you like, estello.”
"Mm… I'll probably just wear this, then. People probably don't really care much." He shrugged a bit and took Sol's hand.
“They won’t,” Sol agreed, raising their joined hands to kiss Joey’s knuckles. “Besides, as long as you’re comfortable, that’s all that matters.”
Joey nodded and wandered out the door with Sol in tow. "Mhmm! Are we taking the bike?" He asked.
“Yeah, unless you’d prefer the car,” Sol answered, following Joey with a smile.
"Whichever is more convenient is fine with me." Joey ran his fingers through his hair and hid his wings before stepping outside.
“How about the car, then,” Sol said as he retracted his wings and grabbed his jacket on their way out. “That way we have cup holders.”
"Sounds good to me." Joey headed out to the car and got into the passenger side, buckling himself in with a soft hum.
Once Joey was in the car, Sol went around and got in behind the wheel, reaching over to hold Joey’s hand across the console.
Joey smiled softly and laced his fingers with Sol's, resting his head on the knuckles of his free hand as he looked out the window.
Sol hummed quietly as he drove, glancing at Joey once and a while with a smile. It didn’t take long to get to the cafe, and soon he was parking the car about a block away.
Joey reluctantly let go of Sol's hand so he could get out of the car, but headed over to take it again once he was out. "Ready to go?"
Sol smiled as Joey took his hand. “Ready,” he replied. Holding Joey’s hand happily, he lead them along the sidewalk to the cafe. Opening the door, he breathed in the smell of coffee and pastries.
Joey followed Sol inside, humming happily to himself. He looked up at the menu and ordered himself a sugary mocha to drink.
Sol ordered a vanilla iced coffee and paid for their drinks before turning to Joey with a smile. “Where do you want to sit?” he asked.
"Mm… anywhere is fine." Joey shrugged a bit and wandered over to the nearest booth with Sol in tow. "How's this?"
