Melanie scrambles into the vent, not bothering to look behind her at Fox; she was pretty sure he'd follow, because if he didn't, he'd be left alone in an inescapable area.

Melanie grumbled and followed the tracks that Reign left, trying not to let her Schizophrenia kick in from panic (she's claustrophobic).

Eventually Melanie stumbles upon Reign, who just sitting there. He looks back, then continues along.

Deleted user

"What is he…? Okay?" Melanie whispers, crawling along. "Reign, are you alright?"

Deleted user

Eventually Reign gets to a vent cover, he carefully removes it and heads down.
"You can come down if you want." Reign sits down.

Deleted user

"Okay…" Melanie's voice was quiet and lacking joy. She drops down and winces as her bad shoulder took the impact, but she managed to shy away from Reign, keeping their distance at a few feet.

Deleted user

Fox hesitates, but drops down.
"Welcome to my den. You can relax for a while, that would be preferred for you to do. Exit is over there if you want to keep going." Reign points to a uncovered vent.

Deleted user

"M-more vents?" Melanie's hands twitched nervously. "I c-can't leave without going into the vents?" Her voice was cracking, and she backed herself into a corner. "No escape…I was lucky to endure the vents before, but now…" Melanie looked like a terrified, helpless puppy.

Fox gives Reign a glare, and sits next to Melanie, trying to calm her down.
"I might be able to get a old hallway cleared enough for you to be able to pass through. It's going to take me a while though…" Reign starts prying boards off of one of the walls, revealing a dusty cobweb filled hallway, he goes in and starts moving stuff out of the way.

Deleted user

"G-get away!" Melanie pushes Fox, but not forcefully, trying not to be weak, but it was clearly showing.

Deleted user

Fox moves back, giving her space.
"I'll let you calm down, I'll be right here if you need me." He starts to hum to himself.

Deleted user

"It's…fine. I don't like it here…" Melanie cradles her head and rocks back and forth in an attempt to calm her nerves. "They're calling to me…telling me that this is a place of torture, of crime. They want me to join them…" (Auditory Hallucinations).

Deleted user

"They might be right, we don't know yet… He seems nice enough… Don't join them though."

Deleted user

"But…they hurt…their voices…they're so loud. Make them stop…Make them stop!" Melanie closed her eyes and started sobbing, curling herself into a tighter ball than she was before.

Deleted user

Fox starts to get up to hug her and comfort her, but remembers what happened earlier and sits back down.

Deleted user

(I love how Reign can't hear this xD)
Melanie, in an act of fear, grabs Fox's arm, and her eyes are wide, fearful. She lets go as quickly as she grabbed him. "I-I'm sorry. I'm sorry! I just-I just need help!"

Deleted user

(He's busy XD)
"It's fine, it's fine. I'll help you anyway I can." Fox opens his arms, and hugs her. "Just calm down a bit."

Deleted user

Melanie's sobs die down after a while, sometimes breathing in too quickly. Melanie, after her episode was over, hugged Fox back. "Thank you." She said, her words only but a whisper.

Deleted user

"Your welcome." Fox smiles.
Reign peeks in. "I'm almost done with the hallway, should be a few more minutes." He goes back to clearing the hallway.

Deleted user

"How do you do it?" Melanie says, retracting from the embrace. "How do you deal with all of this fucked-up-ieness?"

Deleted user

"I've just kind of… grown used to it. It doesn't really affect me as much anymore. If I do get on the end of dealing with it, I just hum to myself and shut out everything… Helping people helps me deal with all of this as well, it makes me feel… good."

Deleted user

"I'm sorry if I proved myself to be a hassle. We're all human, right? Well, on the inside, at least." Melanie stretched her legs by extending them out in front of her, and her hands lay dormant, folded together as if they were praying.
