You, and another person wake up in a Asylum, filled with the insane and sane (more insane than sane), with a dark secret. Will you escape, or suffer like the rest of the people here, going insane with no one to help you.
Rules:
- Don't be a dick
- LGBT+ are allowed! (or I wouldn't even host this.)
- Have fun
You can post your character in any format you like, but at least give me a basic idea. Also depending on the situation, I will make it where your character go more insane, and starting hearing and seeing things, or even feeling things.
Also, your decisions DO matter, a LOT, so be cautious. (I will be forgiving at times, so don't fret.)
Can I join? (If I could…)
Do you have a template, or are we using our own?
I don't really have a template, you can use whatever template u like.
Okay, thanks! I'll have my character posted as soon as I can!
Name: Melanie Rodriguez
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Straight
Species: Human
Appearance: Melanie has black hair that falls to the middle of her back. She has pale skin, and she has scars all around her. She is often seen in loose clothing that's too big for her, and is skinny and frail.
Personality: She doesn't talk much and is shy, never drifting towards the sane or the insane group; she's something in-between. She's often seen staring into space, enveloped in her own world, and looking out windows, wondering what it is like to be free. She's very loyal to friends, but to her, freedom dominates everything.
Strengths: She is quiet and does nothing usually, and because of that, she isn't the first to blame when the rules are broken or something is stolen.
Weaknesses: When she has a friend, she feels the need to protect them, so she'll almost always follow them unless she's told not to.
Oh yeah, how I do insanity:
Effects of Insanity (0-10):
0: Not affected.
1-4: Character might start hearing things, usually footsteps or creaks.
5-8: Character starts to see things that aren’t there, like people or wounds.
9-10: Character starts feeling things on them, like they are being touched by something that isn’t there.
Insanity increases depending on what is happening, basic things like scares might increase it by 0.5. While their life in stake could increase it by 3. (I will never do anything above 3 in one situation.)
Insanity can also decrease, depending on what your character themselves do. I will adjust how much is removed from these actions.
No pressure but waiting on u @SleepySnake
Fuck it, you want in as well? i'll make it a 4 person, I dont mind.
Oh yes please
Is it okay if my character is already (kinda) insane? I have a perfect little boi that would be perfect for this.
Ummm… about like, a six. He has psychosis.
Oh, i'll look that up and do that when I can!
I am on my phone ATM, and its hard as hell to type in google docs (cause i have doc to keep track of how insane people are.)
He’s super jumpy and finicky, I feel like you’ll have fun with him.
Name: Metaphorical “Met”
Age: 18
Sexuality: Submissive Gay Boi ;u;
Species: Human
Appearance: Long slate black hair with extremely pale skin. He has over right icy blue eyes that are almost hidden by his hair. He is 6’5 and extremely underweight with his legs being the tallest part of his body. He slouches a lot. He has baggy sweatpants and a crusty yellowish orange shirt that he never takes off. Has nasty scars on his neck and bruises that seem to forever stay on his thighs and arms from his nasty childhood.
Personality: Will not talk unless spoken to. He was raised on the fact that kids must be seen, and used in nasty ways, to never be spoken of. He tries to stay in the background and hates stepping out of his box. He technically falls under the insane group, but never allows himself to come into contact with them. He stays to himself and murmurs sweet nothings to himself, rubbing his wrists and crying uncontrollably very often. He hates it when people (especially women or girls) touch him, and he always shies away to find another place to dwell. Despite this, he is quite gentle and will always accept a hug.
Backstory (Trigger Warning): When Met was born, he was born into a rather poor family. His father had fallen drunk and he got caught up in a street fight, which ended up with the poor chap being killed when little Met was two. His father always stepped in the way of his mother’s abusive methods of punishment to the child, including severe beatings for crying in hunger. However, now that his father passed, his mother fell into a deep state of anger, placing her irritational anger on her tiny son. She would scream and hit him, and when he grew older, she would do absolutely unspeakable things to him. She would burn his genitalia with a hot knife, sexually abuse his tiny self, and starve him. He was unable to cry at night, for if he did it would recieve him a screaming and a lash of the knife.
Thankfully, however, a concerned neighbor had expressed their concern for Met’s well-being. He was never seen outside and was never allowed to play with the other children. He was apparently homeschooled, apart from being registered in a school’s mainframe. So this neighbor called CPS and they launched an investigation. They only had to take one look at the state of the home, little Met and his absolutely ruined clothing and personality, to set his mother in prison (she was eventually sentenced to death) and to put Met in an orphanage.
However, Met did not do well in the orphanage. He leapt miles away from kind women who wanted to adopt and say hello, cried when a volunteer made him change his clothes, and he could be heard talking to himself in bursts of tears. So he was set for an asylum when he turned fifteen, and has been there since.
Other: Holy shit that was long.
oh shit that got dark.
That was a really good backstory, and a very sad one. When my character comes in (cause he's not there at first.) Expect a lot of concern for Met, and hugs. Definitely hugs at least.
I'm working on my child who has… some problems.
