(Okay……..)
(Okay……..)
When Met wakes up, they find their door to be open, when it usually isn't. There's no sounds coming from outside.
Meliane wakes up, they see the door seems to be jammed, slightly ajar, when it wasn't when they went to sleep.
Jax wakes up, and there's no door, seeming to be ripped from it's hinges.
Jax startles awake, falling off of his cot and onto the stone cold floor. "Damn it!" Jax mutters, noticing the door. No, no, no, I just got used to it! I don't want things changing, I'm going to die! His mind shrieked, his chest heaving as he shakily stood up and walked to the corner, throwing up whatever he had in his stomach from the day before.
There seems to be footsteps outside of Jax's room.
Melanie, once awake, turns to her only window, looking outside. The phrase, 'If only…' echoes in her head, and after a while, she walked towards her room door, fiddling with her fingers.
The door becomes unjammed, slamming shut, with such a force it's now stuck shut. The vent cover falls off, leading into the vents.
(Wait, for me or for Jax?)
(Jax doesn't even have a door anymore, so Melanie's door.)
Met inhaled softly as he opened his brilliant blue eyes. His breath rattled sharply in his chest when he noticed his door open and he sat up slowly, curling his arms up aga8nst his chest. He didn’t say anything; just stared.
There seems to be sounds coming from underneath Met's room, almost like… crying?
The tall boy rose shakily from his corner of the room, feeling his arms shaking wildly in fear. He didn’t like hearing others cry. It reminded him of the misfortune of life in itself. He floated out of his room slowly, staring around, his pale skin standing out in the gloom of his hall.
Melanie jumps, and skitters to the opposite wall, her eyes wide. She hoped no one was still in there, left to the monsters that They believed she saw. They were partially right, but they weren't monsters, moreover imaginary friends.
The crying stops, seeming to hear Met. It turns into more of a whimper, like it's scared
Melanie sees a almost human shaped black fog, it points to the open vent.
Met swallowed nervously, his Adam’s apple bobb8jg as he stepped his pale foot out of his room. He didn’t say anything, he just walked slowly out into the hall to look around. Only the shadows jumped out to greet him.
The hall doesn't hold much, one side of it seeming to be collapsed, the other side looks perfectly fine, almost untouched.
Met gazed unhappily at the crumbling mess, carefully stepping over a rock. He kept to the untouched, unbroken side, staring at the broken-down side. He didn’t say anything.
The broken-down side doesn't change, on the untouched side, the only thing that seems like a exit is a old, dusty vent. The cover seeming to be gone, with no trace of where it went.
"Th-the vent?" Melanie acknowledges the fog cautiously, turning her head to the side, still questioning its reliability.
The fog quietly says. "It's the only way out of here…" And keeps pointing to the vent
Met approached it slowly, careful to avoid the large pieces of rubble. He reached up and scooped his large hands into the lip of the vent, pulling his light self up to look down into the vent. A shadow whispered softly to him, and he just ignored it for now.

The vent, covered with a layer of dust, seems to have 2 ways to go, left, or right.
Met inhaled the dust and coughed softly, slowly easing himself into the vent. He felt his heart beating but he didn’t feel afraid. Soon his pale feet poofedaway as he thought of where to go. He decided to go left.
Melanie hoists herself up into the vent, scratching herself on her hip, and gets herself in the vent, scrunching her nose up from the rustic, mildew smell. He might be right, after all. Only one way, and it's through here…
