"In avanti, destriero possente!" she exclaimed. Malakai snorted as he shook his head, then took off into the sky with one mighty flap of his wings. Soon enough, they were spiraling upwards and into the clouds.

He was starting to get confused with all of the Italian, but he kept it to himself as they flew through the air.
(Adorable, dhfj)
(fyi, she tends to speak Italian randomly if she's comfortable around someone. Well, that or when she's doing her Mafia stuff and it's used as intimidation)
"You ready?" she asked Runner, looking over her shoulder yet again as Malakai leveled out and started to glide on an air current.
(Oh, so she;s getting comfortable with the boi)
"Yep!" he said, giving the thumbs up. "Let it rip!"
(yeup. She just doesn't really realize it yet, 'cause she's dense when it comes to relationships. Too stubborn to realize her own feelings)
She patted Malakai again, and he made a noise in acknowledgment. In only a span of a few seconds, they saw nothing but darkness swirling around them like it was a living thing, and then open, dull grey skies.
"Are we there yet?" Runner asked, analyzing everything with those big hazel eyes of his.
Tessa looked around her surroundings before answering. She's only been to the land of the Titans once, and that had been with Jamir to guide her and the others. But it looked to be the place. Just like the sky, the land seemed to be a dull gray with little to no life. A slight breeze blew by them as Malakai flew, swirling patches of dirt and dust over the lifeless earth.
"Take that as a yes?" he asked, tilting his head at her lack of response.
"Oh, yeah. We're here." She nudged Malakai with her legs and he swooped down and landed on the dry dirt, his wings disturbing the light film of sand and grit.
He got off after Malakai had settled into his spot, stretching his legs out with a wince. "Not the most comfortable ride in the world, I must admit."
"Cin's got a special saddle she uses when she goes for a flight with him," Tessa said as she slid off the demon. He nudged her expectantly, and she sighed regretfully as she turned to him. "Sorry, bud. No McDonald's bags for you this time. Try bugging your master instead."
"Thanks," Runner said, waving at the demon before turning back to his surroundings. "So…..what now?"
"Now…" she said as the demon disappeared in a cloud of darkness. She turned to the land around them. "Now we wait for the Titans to let us in. If they ever do."
"More waiting, I guess," he said, laying down on his back in the dirt. He fully exoected to sit there in total silence for another 3 hours.
Tessa twirled her fingers around in the air, creating patterns with small and weak flames. She briefly forgot about Runner being there and started to make an actual picture with the suspended flames. She was by no means an artist, but that didn't stop her.
"Whatcha doing?" he asked, raising his head to look at the picture for a moment before laying back down.
And then she remembered the tag-along was there. She waved the picture away, letting it fizzle out into dull embers. "Nothing…" She sighed and glared at the ground. "Morgen, I know you're here."
(skd vnd you didn't tell me. Runner should've been able to sense them from a mile away)
(They're all underground. Titans can "listen" through the earth, so that's why she's essentially talking to the ground)
(Oh, gotcha)
"Who, what now?" Runner asked, sitting up once more.
"A friend of mine's sister." She kicked at the ground to further get her irritability across to the person she was talking about. "The Titans live here—underground. That's why it looks like no one lives here."
"Interesting," he said, laying back down. He might as well catch a few Zzz's while he could, so he closed his eyes and tried to fall asleep.
After ten minutes of absolute silence–Tessa had sat on the ground and started to doodle in the dirt by now–the land finally cracked open to reveal a tunnel leading down into the earth. Tessa looked up and reached over to smack Runner's feet, missing a few times before finally hitting him. "Hey, dufus. Wake up."
"I will not respond to insulting and frankly uncalled for abusive names," he responded, rolling over on his side so his back faced her.
"Alright, Princeling," she hissed. "Wake up. We've gained entrance and I don't really want to lose it because of you."
