She scoffed and rolled her eyes as well, a small smile playing on her lips. "Excuses excuses." She reached out and patted his arm. "Welp, I'm going to change and head to bed."
She scoffed and rolled her eyes as well, a small smile playing on her lips. "Excuses excuses." She reached out and patted his arm. "Welp, I'm going to change and head to bed."
"I'll be downstairs if you need me," he said, returning the smile before heading back down the stairs.
She wiggled her fingers in farewell, then headed into her room to do what she said she'd do. It didn't take long for her to fall asleep once her head hit the pillow.
Runner let out a groan as he sat back down on the couch. His side was hurting more than he showed to Tess. She blamed herself for what happened, and seeing him in pain would just make it worse on her.
((how 'bout I pop Rhianon and the new dude in relatively soon?))
(I could honestly happen right now, since I have no clue how to continue this, imao)
Tessa tumbled into dreams, though they were incoherent and fuzzy. At least they weren't nightmares, but the images raced through her mind at lightning speed, never lingering too long on one before switching to another.
((Okay, I'll pop them in after you))
Runner leaned over and let his eyes close. He doubted he'd get much sleep, but it was worth a shot.
Rhianon reappeared into the home, bearing a 22-year-old male with her. He was relatively tall at 6'2, with light gray eyes that seemed to shine in the darkness and fluffy, silver hair with black roots. His features sleek and angular, with defined cheekbones and jawline, and lean muscle that could never properly display his strength.
He seemed wide awake as he looked around the dark room, already exploring while Rhianon came over to Runner and gently shook Runner's shoulder. "Runner," she said softly.
"Mmmmm," he groaned, sitting up and rubbing his eyes. "Yeah?"
"Nikolas is here," she said, still speaking softly. She jerked her chin over to where he was inspecting the kitchen, finding the remnants of the late-night dinner.
"I smell blood," he said without lifting his head or looking in Runner's direction, too tempted by the food.
"I got bit," he explained, rubbing his stomach slightly.
"By?" Nikolas inquired, helping himself to the leftovers.
Rhianon sighed and turned to Runner. "He prefers to be active during the night, so you won't have to worry about keeping up a definse during the night while you and Theresa sleep."
"Just gimme food an coffee during the day, and I should be good," he said.
"Sounds good. Just try and keep it down. Tess needs her sleep," he said, gesturing towards the ceiling.
He looked up, a small smile flickering over his lips, then looked back down at the food and nodded. "I know."
Rhianon glanced between the two, then looked to Runner. "Will you be alright for the time being?" she asked him.
