(okay, you wanna start or should i?)
((Maybe you? If you think me starting would be better, I can.))
(sure)
"I-i need help…" Nikko stuttered out, breathing heavily as he kneeled in the mud.
Laura froze at the words coming out of the others mouth. Help? He needed assistance from her? The hero had come groveling before her, the villain, begging for her help. She glared at him, crouch down in front of him. Rain was splattered across her face, a cold look on her face.
"And why's that?" She asked coolly, waiting impatiently to here a response from the other.
"Because theres someone worse out there i need to deal with. despite what you may think your not the worst person i face and i…" He trailed off glacing away from her.
“You what?” Laura sneered, seeming rather annoyed. She was tired of his stammering, still kneeling down before him. “Spit it out, will you? I don’t have all day for your stammering.”
"I-i-im sorry i-i-i…" He made a choking sound, His shoulders slumped forward. He was crying, tears that had brimmed in his eyes came down on streams down his face and dripping off.
"Stop your crying, you're being absolutely-" Laura cut herself off as she forced him to look up at her, heart stopping in her chest. As cold as she could be, she wasn't as heartless as she tried to pull off. She felt sick looking at his face, staring at his eyes. They weren't the same. They weren't as vibrant, and they looked empty. As if he couldn't see…
"You're blind… you- who..?" Laura whispered, still holding his face up to look at her. "Who did this?"
"..t-they did…" He whispered his voice shaking, he couldn't see her. He could hear the emotions in her voice. "I-i…I c-couldnt s-stop them…" His stutters returned in his moment of weakness just when it seemed he had conquered them. His tears didn't seem to stop.
Silently Laura studied his face, letting the situation sink in. She knew nothing about him besides the fact that he was a nuisance to her, and vise versa. For him to come to her in a moment of need like this, the situation must be dire. Especially since she wasn't known for her cooperation.
"Why come to me? You think I'd be any more merciful than whoever they are?" Laura scoffed a little, letting go of his face. "I'm a villain, why should I help you? What do you think would convince me to show you mercy, instead of taking advantage of you, and murdering you on the spot? I could get rid of you, and never have to deal with you."
(Oh my goodness I typed a response for this and it didn't send no wonder you weren't replying T~T)
(Ahh, I hate when that happens!)

He stared down at the ground he didn't really expect much from her, but he knew whatever she did he would probably be okay with. He knew she had good in her, even if she didn't believe in herself.
"I k-know you m-may think y-your this horrible villian b-but I know t-that there is g-good in y-you. I believe there is. I can see it even if you can't. T-that's w-why I came to you." He smiled at her. Trying his best to look in her direction.
"If y-you d-do kill m-me….p-plesse p-protect m-my family…I k-know i-i have n-no right to ask this of you…b-but I-im n-nothing b-but a burden to t-them now…"
(I litterally typed it three times)
(Twice phone and one computer)
((Oof, yikes))
Laura listened to him, teeth gritted. Her jaw was tight, eyes narrowed. She couldn't believe what he was saying. And she hated how it was partially true. Scoffing, she let go of his face, and stepped back away from the pathetic hero before her.
"You're delusional." She muttered, pinching her temple. Her brain was bouncing the idea back and forth, struggling just to say no. He was the hero. She was the villain. She wasn't suppose to help him. What would everyone else think? Wouldn't she be ruined if she helped him?
"You seriously think they're worse than I can be?" She asked softly, back to his face. Though he wouldn't be able to tell.
"yes. Undoubtedly." He didn't stutter this sentence. It was only two words but just as impactful as a whole paragraph. He was so sure of it.
Laura kept quiet, lingering as long as she could. She muttered under her breath before approaching him once again, kneeling down in front of him.
"This changes nothing. When this is all set and done, I may just kill you." She insisted, her voice cool. "But I'll help you. If I can stop the bastards who were able to beat the hell out of you, no one will ever get away with calling me soft again."
He smiled softly at her. "Okay." That was all he needed from her. He knew she cared, just didn't want to seem soft. If in the end he really did die, he wouldn't be a burden to his family and they would have less to work for. His sister could stop doing all those jobs, and they could spend time together.
Laura stood up at that, starting to turn. "Get up. You look ridiculous." She muttered, pushing the door to her lair open. She stood there, waiting for him to get up and follow after her. Clearly, she had forgotten the part where he couldn't see where he was going. She was too distracted, and honestly wanted nothing to do with the hero if she could help it.
He got up from kneeling in the mud. He didnt bring up the fact that he couldnt see again and just atempted to entire the door, hoping it was open. He walked into the wall right next to it instead. he felt out the wall he ran into and backed up a little bit and turning a little bit only to trip when he was backing up and stumbling backs into a light post and eventually falling.
Laura watched him, groaning a little at his clumsiness. Of course, he couldn't see anything. She mumbled and grumbled to herself, walking over and yanking him up by the shirt. "Come on. Inside." She snapped, yanking his arm along so they could get inside.
He flinched when she reached to grab at his shirt, and then after being pulled up and grabbed on the arm and being yanked towards the door by his arm he made sure he wouldn't fall so she wouldnt have to drag him.
Laura eventually got the both of them inside, still leading him on. She continued to drag him along, eventually stopping by the bathroom. He was rather filthy, covered with mud, and blood. "You can't possibly shower on your own, can you?" She muttered, already knowing the answer. There was no way she would help him if her assumption was correct. He'd just have to skip it.
He was going to say he could try but he might make an even bigger mess for her, so his lips parted before shutting and he just nodded instead. "sorry."
Laura muttered under her breath some rather cruel things, continuing to yank him along down the hall. She came to her bedroom, lightly shoving him to sit on the bed. "How bad are your other injuries?"
He stumbled into the bed eventually sitting down on it and feeling Like a little kid again. He mumbled a lot of things before saying something loud enough. "I-i h-have a g-gash o-on m-my b-back.." finally came out of him.
Laura groaned, seeming to go quiet as she left the room. She came back a minute or so later, medical kit in hand. She wanted the satisfaction of killing him, not letting him get infected and die slowly. "Take your shirt off. I need to clean it up." She ordered him, pulling her short hair up out of her face.
He took off his shirt, the back of it having blood seeped into it and it was pretty dirty. He just kinda sat there staring in a downward direction and fidgeting with his hands.
"Good god, what even did this to you." She muttered, staring at the gaping wound in his back. She was unphased by the amount of blood, trying to blot it up. She kept a tight hold on the wash cloth, teeth gritted.
