(Lol. Maybe get some sleep tonight?)
Tobias leaned away, sighing softly.
“Yeah. Neither of us are really all that popular as you might think.”
Cam rolled his eyes with his daughter, letting her go with another kiss. “Right. Well don’t burn the house down and don’t forget to answer our calls.”
(Eh….
Jk. I am.)
“Of course, dad. Love you guys. Have fun on your trip,” Rose wished them with a grin as she stepped back beside Tobias, who Lilah had finally let go.
“Thanks, Rose. You both have fun as well,” Lilah chuckled softly. “I think we’ll be leaving now, though, so we’ll see you in a couple of weeks.”
Cam grinned happily at his daughter, lifting up the bags again. "Love you too, Rose. And you, Tobias."
Tobias nodded awkwardly at his dad, not really wanting to be captured into another hug.
Lilah smiled at them for a moment longer before taking a deep breath. She turned to Cameron and nodded. “Ready?”
Cam smiled brightly and nodded in return. "As ready as I'll ever be!"
(… Hi… Sorry…)
“Then let’s go,” Lilah said, smiling at him before making her way to the door.
(Hiii. It's okay.)
Cam nodded and followed her, waving good-bye to the kids. Tobias stepped forward, waving back.
"Bye, mom and dad. Have fun."
(My brain feels like mush… I'm so tired. lol.)
Lilah turned back to smile at her kids for a moment longer before sighing and pulling them both into another hug. "I love you two. Please stay safe, and have fun, okay?"
"Love you, too, mom. And you're the one who should be having fun," Rose laughed gently, returning the embrace tightly.
(Oof. I get that feel, lol. Hey, my state might have a couple days off. We're supposed to get eight inches of snow.)
Tobias huffed softly and unwillingly hugged her back, then pulled away a couple i moments later.
"Yeah, really. It's you two that should be enjoying your time away."
(Woah… That’s a lot…)
“We will,” Lilah laughed softly before finally releasing them. “We’ll see you in a couple of weeks.”
(Yeah. Schools are already calling off school)
Tobias nodded, yawning and gripping the door in his hand. "Yep. See you. Be careful…"
Cam glanced at Lilah, smiling. "Are you ready, dear?"
(Lucky you. XD)
Lilah sighed a little before turning to her husband and nodding with a small smile. “I’m ready. Let’s go to France, love.”
(Should we skip to when they get there?)
(I wish I got snow days. lol. Homeschool problems. XD
Okie doke!)
Lilah stepped off the place and looked around with a grin. Some things had changed, of course, in the seventeenish years since they’d been there, but it was overall the same place.
“C’mon, let’s go get our bags and get to the hotel room. I’m exhausted from that flight,” she said, turning to Cameron.
(Oof! Also we got off :3)
Cam smiled and glanced at her with a nod. The sweet smell of Paris filled his lungs again, making them ache with his memories. He loved Paris down to the marrow of his bones.
"Should we walk again?" He finally asked, moving his attention elsewhere; onto Lilah.
(Awesome! It’s snowing a bunch here now, too.)
“Hm… Why don’t we take a cab? I don’t really feel like walking all the way to the hotel this time,” Lilah chuckled softly. “It’s been a few years since we’ve been here. I’m not quite as young as I used to be.”
(Sweet. Let's hope neither of us have to shovel xD)
Cam chuckled softly and nudged her. "Don't say stuff like that. You're only seventeen years older. That's nothing. You still look young and beautiful," He complimented as he walked forward to find a cab.
(Lol. Yeah, no kidding. ;)
“Pfft… Seventeen years is a long time, Cam. Plus, you still look young and handsome, too,” Lilah said, smiling up at him. She frowned a little and looked him over. “I think I shrunk a little…”
Cam smiled back down at his wife, nudging her. "I probably just grew twenty inches under your nose." He chortled good-naturedly. "Anyway, we need a cab."
"Mm, right. Sure you did… And I think I saw a cab just down this way. Let's go see if he's available," Lilah said, smiling up at him for a moment before she started toward the cab she'd seen.
Cam chuckled and bobbed after her. "You don't believe me, Lilah? I'm giant now. Honestly I might have to start ducking under doorframes."
“I’m pretty sure you were done growing when I met you… I think having two kids just made me shrink,” Lilah chuckled with him. “Oh, it looks open. Let’s take this one.”
(Should we skip to when they get to the hotel?)
Lilah sighed as she stepped into the room, setting her bags down once she was far enough inside. They’d chosen to stay in the same hotel they had stayed in on their honeymoon, but, unfortunately, they hadn’t gotten the same room.
This room was slightly smaller, though still large. The bathroom had a jacuzzi as well as a separate shower, and there was a small kitchen area to one side of the room as well. The bed sat in the middle of the room against one wall, and its white sheets looked freshly washed and pressed.
“I think I’ll always be impressed with this hotel,” Lilah said with a smile as she looked around. “This room is beautiful.”
