"So… eh– yeah," He finished with an awkward smile, looking up. "It's not that hard. I think you should look into a better teacher and or video to help, though."

Rose hummed in acknowledgement, tilting her head a little as she glanced over the page. She blinked before looking up at Allen and offering him a small smile.

“That actually helped a lot. Thank you,” she said quietly. “Um… Would you care for some cookies or something? We’ve got plenty.”

Allen pushed the notebook closer, taking the brainwave that she wanted it back. "Oh! I'd love a cookie, thank you!"

Tobias twitched awake at the other boy's voice after a few minutes of him being there. It was quite sad, but one would think that he could sleep through anything.
"Rose? Who is here?"

Rose stood to grab a cookie before she caught her brother’s voice calling. She sighed a little and called back, “Just someone from school. Helping me with homework.”

Tobias rose and plodded across the living room, glowering at the other boy, who looked like he just uncovered a mystery.
"You guys are siblings?" Allen asked, sounding amazed.

“Yup,” Rose answered, glancing back at the boy for a moment before grabbing a plate and setting some cookies on it. “Here you are… Why do you ask?”

Allen thanked her softly and looked up, smiling awkwardly. "I've never seen you two together before. You guys hardly look alike, either. It's weird!"
