"Oh, yeah, for a Band fundraiser. It's for John Cormen, a food-place-thing. The food looks amazing, so I'm walking around trying to raise money for a trip we're going on in the summer," He finished with his rambles, smiling up at her.

“Oh, cool. I didn’t know you were in band,” Rose mused, nodding slowly. “Well, my parents aren’t home right now, otherwise I would go get them for you…”
"I am," The boy said woth a little smile. "It's really fun. Well, I think I'll be going, then, thanks." His smile jumped to a larger one..
(Baby lemurs are so cute~! Lol.
Sorry, the kids are watching Wild Kratts…)
Rose blinked once. “Oh, sure… Hey, have you started on any of the homework they gave us for over break?”
(Lol. I love the Wild Kratts.)
The boy paused, blinking. "Oh, yeah! My mum made me do a whole bunch of it before I left the house."
(Lol. I used to love it, but we don’t have tv at my house so I don’t really watch it. I used to watch their old show, Zaboomafoo.)
“Ah, yeah… I was working on the English assignment. I got a little stuck, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out soon,” Rose said with a shrug.
(I haven't heard of that show. Sounds… hard to spell.)
The boy perked up. "English? I can help! If you wanted to bring your stuff out here, we can work on it."
(Lol. It’s an older show… It was in when I was little-little.)
“Oh, we can work on it inside if you want,” Rose suggested with a small shrug. “I don’t want to keep you standing out here alone while I’m grabbing my things.”
(Huh. It sounded like fun. I love old cartoons. Courage the Cowardly Dog and Dexter's Laboratory will always be deep in my heart…)
"Oh, yes, that's good too!" He beamed and shifted his grip on the papers. "I could use a drink of water…"
(I loved it. Lol.)
Rose smiled a bit and nodded as she stepped away so he could come inside. “Sure. I’ll show you to the kitchen, and we can work there.”
The boy scooted into the house, looking happy to finally be able to sit down. "Thanks! I've been walking for at least a mile. And in the kitchen sounds great."
“Oh, wow… Yeah, I’m sure you must be tired. And thank you. I’ll be sure to let my parents know you like it,” Rose said as she walked toward a cupboard to grab a glass. She filled it with water before handing it to…
Again, she realized that she didn’t actually know his name. That could get to be a problem if they kept running into each other…
“Um… So, I don’t think I ever got your name,” she admitted awkwardly, rubbing her wrists as she looked at the glass of water.
(Honk)
"I'm not really that tired," The boy said with a tone of happiness in his voice as he set down his papers, looking around and spotting the still-sleeping Tobias. He glanced back at Rose when she turned to him, grinning.
"Oh, my name's Allen Dweis. It's a pleasure to meet you! Thank you." He took the cup and gulped down a few mouthfuls.
(Honk?
Oh… I’ll fix it in a sec…)
“Well, it’s good to officially meet you, Allen,” Rose said with a small smile. She nodded toward the stairs and stepped in their direction. “I’m just going to go grab my things. I’ll be back in a second.”
(Lmao honk
How are you doing?)
Allen smiled back and a bit of water dribbled from out between his crooked teeth. He squeaked softly and hastily rubbed at his chin. He secretly felt glad her back was turned and hoped she didn't see.
"Al-Alright!"
(Been better. But I'll be fine.
You?)
Rose headed upstairs quickly and hurriedly grabbed her things from her desk. She didn't really want to leave him alone for too long. Not because she thought he would do something, but just because she thought it would be good to not keep him waiting for a long time.
When she'd grabbed everything, she made her way back downstairs. She set her things on the table where Allen was, sitting across from him as she spread it all out.
(?)
Allen sniffed around the kitchen for a few moments and finally set down his things on the countertop. He picked up the cup she got for him and refilled it, and when she walked back into the room and set her things down, Allen started with a faint gasp, clutching his cup tightly. He turned to grin at her nervously and shuffled over. He sat back down with the cup, then set it down.
"So, what are you having trouble with?"
Rose sighed and looked down at the papers. “Can I say everything? I know how to say things and wrote things correctly, but I don’t know how they work…”
Allen scooted closer as to see the paper better, squinting down at it. "So you're having trouble understanding where something like this would fall in a sentence?"
“Yeah. I don’t understand the differences between all of the different things,” Rose said, fiddling with the hem of her shirt.
"Oh, well, that's easy. Do you have your notes down here?" He asked, not wanting to be rude and just shifting through her things.
Rose hummed and lifted a notebook from her lap, setting it on the table in front of them. "Here they are."
Allen gently took the notebook and opened it to one of the last pages in search of the pages for the notes. He found them and scooted them out, starting to quietly explain them.
Rose nodded along slowly as he spoke. She rested her elbow up on the counter and set her chin in her hand. This was actually helping quite a bit…
