Lucifer cupped the man around the neck and started dragging him in his ridiculously large arm. He spotted the human watching and squinted.
"What are you doing here?"
Lucifer cupped the man around the neck and started dragging him in his ridiculously large arm. He spotted the human watching and squinted.
"What are you doing here?"
"Was curious to meet the new arrival, but I suppose he's not much in the mood for conversation." Scipio pushed open the door.
"I was told to take him out. Now I'll take him down to the basement. You look around and make sure there's nothing I dropped. If he dropped any gold, you can keep it."
"Alrighty." Scipio rolled up his sleeves and searched around once Lucifer had left. He picked up a couple coins and put them into his pocket, and a knife, which he held onto to give to Lucifer.
Lucifer set the body down on a table that had appeared. Actually, a lot of stuff had appeared again now that Scipio wasn't down there, but that was besides the point. Lucifer grabbed a hatchet and cut off the man's head, then the lower part of his hips, tossing them into what seemed to be a large garbage disposal.
Scipio contemplated following Lucifer, but figured it'd be best to just stay in this room until he returned. He didn't think it would be wise to intrude again, despite Lucifer's strange almost fondness of Scipio.
Lucifer chopped off the stomach and just left the chest, taking off the small bit of cloth that remained on it and tossing it into the disposal. Without much thought at all, he stuck his hand into the man's chest and pulled out his heart, which was still beating but not bleeding.
(Bro what the fuck are you going to do with that lol)
Scipio leaned back in a chair, whistling and fiddling with the knife he found. He twirled it between his fingers casually as he waited for Lucifer to return.
(yummy)
Lucifer scooped the rest of the body into the disposal and ripped open the heart, no blood reaching his hands. Hell, there was no blood at all. But there was something small and dark in the depths of the squeezing muscle. He pulled it out carefully and wrinkled his nose.
"Yuck, another rotten one. Naturally."
(Lmao)
Scipio sighed and went to the door, cracking it open. "The fuck are you doing down there, Lucy? I found a knife for you."
"C'mere, Human, I want to show you this." He gestured for the other to join him, evaluating the walnut-sized weird black orb thing.
"Uh… okay." Scipio went down the stairs and saw the heart. "Huh. Guess you take those out. What's the black thing?" He asked calmly, completely unfazed by the heart.
Lucifer slid the heart into the disposal and turned the black thing around in his fingers. "This is a soul. It's the soul of New York's biggest pimp."
"Huh…" Scipio examined it curiously. "D'you think my soul looks like that? Blacker, maybe?"
"Nah, definitely lighter and bigger. This guy literally sold prostitutes. You just killed some people. This guy was actually a threat to me and the Sanctions."
"Why is selling people worse than killing them?" Scipio looked up at Lucifer. "You're saying I'm more innocent than a pimp?"
"It's not my rules. It's what the Sanctions believe, and I follow their orders." He tossed the soul over his shoulder into another bin.
Scipio shrugged, glancing over at the bin. "What do you do with people's souls? And what happens to that guy now that you've killed him?"
"Well most are sent higher up to be consumed, but his soul was too small and too bitter. He's erased from all being of existence. There's no return for him."
"So, like, this is probably a weird question, but… what happens to souls after being consumed? Does whatever eats them have a functioning digestive system? Is it necessary for them to eat souls to stay alive?"
"I don't know. I don't run the thing. I think it's just some machine that's made to just crunch them up and send them somewhere. Probably to make new ones," He said thoughtfully. "It's sort of weird, but I never saw the machine itself."
"Weird… is it bad that I kinda want to go through just to see how it works?" Scipio looked into the machine curiously.
(Oh, sorry if this isn't clear. Lucifer sends the souls on to the machine, he doesn't have it.)
(Oh shoot then he looks into the thing that sends them to the machine)
(Alright sorry for the misunderstanding)
Lucifer chuckled and shook his head. "You don't." He walked over and strung an arm around his shoulder, taking the knife from his pocket and leading him upstairs. "You get to stay up here with the shiny, worthless gold."
