"Me." He laughed. "I'm not married, so a lot of people just call me 'The soul prince' or something. A lot of people have different names for me." He met Scipio's gaze.
"Me." He laughed. "I'm not married, so a lot of people just call me 'The soul prince' or something. A lot of people have different names for me." He met Scipio's gaze.
"If you got married, would you officially be called the king? Who could you even marry, anyways? Do… can people even get married down here? It doesn't seem like something that would be allowed." Scipio cocked his head slightly to the side again, as he seemed prone to do when curious or confused.
"Yes, I would technically be called the King of Darkness but I'm probably not going to get married because there aren't a lot of people I can or would marry me. Of course it's allowed. We just don't get married under the holy name of anything, they just get bound for life."
"Hmm… interesting. Do you marry people together? Obviously there's no priest or anything who would do it, so…"
"Nope, they marry themselves. Or they hire a former priest to do it for them," Lucifer hummed in return.
"There are former priests in hell? What could they possibly have done to get here??" Scipio asked, bewildered.
"Satanists," He just said, glancing at him. "Well, the less extreme one. And there's some Chirstian ones down here who learned their lesson as to what they did."
"Mm… I suppose you're not allowed to tell me what they did, are you? That's interesting, either way… I never would've guessed that people could get married here."
"No, but I think you could guess if you wanted to. We're a society down here. Well, out there. You can't join them, though, they're too… pure, I guess."
"Yeah, that's fair… it's nice enough in here anyways. You've got hot springs and angry toads." Scipio laughed a bit, genuinely.
Lucifer laughed with him, a slight smile remaining on his face. "Yeah, I have angry toads. I'm pretty sure I have more if you wanna go searching."
"Are they all in the hot springs or do they wander?" Scipio stretched a bit. Even fully sitting up, the water still came up to his chest.
"They're in the springs, but sometimes whenever I'm sitting in here, they'll float up and mess with my legs. It's annoying," He huffed.
"Mhmm." Scipio spotted a toad and tried to catch it, but just ended up falling in the water due to it being so slippery. The toad hopped away and Scipio rose up from the water again, coughing. "It… it got away."
Lucifer watched the toad hop towards him, screeching. He picked it up and plopped it back into the water. "They do that a lot. But it's fine. They don't actually harm anyone." He always gave servants the job to catch a toad.
Scipio pushed his now wet hair out of his eyes and sat back up. "Yeah… my toad was easier."
"Mhm. Mostly because you weren't naked and I wasn't in here. These toads just get really angry but they're not gonna do anything."
Scipio nodded. "I'm determined, though. My toad's going to learn who's the alpha soon, I tell you that. Kept glaring at me, so I just glared right back and wouldn't put him down till he blinked. I will win."
Lucifer rolled his eyes, chuckling. "He's a toad, Scipio. They're naturally very angry animals." He reached forward for some bread left on the wooden thing, chewing it thoughtfully. "But sure, go ahead and try to be an alpha."
"I will. I must dominate the toad. He must feel dominated or I will not be satisfied." Scipio's hair fell into his eyes again and he ignored it.
Lucifer snorted in laughter but didn't explain why. He had actually thought something that wasn't too child friendly, so also why he didn't tell the other.
"What's so funny? I will be the toad overlord if it's the last thing I do, dammit. The toads will bow to me."
"I will make the toad feel dominated. You'd be a lot of fun in bed, huh?" He asked teasingly, a genuinely amused grin on his lips. Humans were funny.
A faint blush rose to Scipio's pale cheeks. "H-Hey! That's not what I meant and you know it!" He huffed a bit in frustration.
Lucifer snickered at the human's response, acting more like a mean teenager himself. "Oh, yes, I'm absolutely sure of that."
