Alro looked down, knowing she was right about the captain not liking this. Looking up at the ship he noticed Jerome glaring down at them. "I have my ways with the captain, and besides you couldn't just die out there, there's something about you that was interesting." He said quietly, knowing that the captain would be not happy with him that night. He silently observed the girl watch The Blind Doom sink.
She didn't answer, watching as the ship finally sank below the waves forever. Reva rolled her neck and looked at the boy, "I doubt that there is anything interesting about me besides my stubbornness." Her clothes were soaking wet and they stuck to her body, along with her hair that was plastered to her back, a few stray strands sticking to her face.
Alro shook his head. "I would disagree with that. You impressed my captain, I don't think in all my years of being with him have I seen him impressed. If someone can impress him now that's interesting." Alro smiled and stuck one of his legs in the water, ignoring the sirens circling around them. Besides of being soaking wet, he didn't show any signs of worry.
"Why aren't that attacking?" She asked, mostly to herself as she looked into the water at the creatures. She didn't dare stick her fingers into the water to test if they would still attack and instead she looked up at the ship, smirking slightly, "When do you think he'll raise this boat up?" She questioned, turning to the boy to see if he knew the answer to that question.
Alro tilted his head examining the water, watching the sirens. "Ever since the captain started using them to help defeat other ships, they came to good terms, he is afterall supplying their meals, Plus, they won't attack any of his crewmates out of fear of him." Alro said while smiling. He turned and faced the girl. "As for raising the boat, I have no clue, most likely whenever the captain feels like it."
Reva looked into the water once more, shaking her head, "I'm not going to take any chances with those creatures, I'll stay far away from them." She laid herself out in the boat and focused on the sky, letting her clothes dry, "I don't figure he'll want to raise the boat up anytime soon, he's probably busy beating my former crew or murdering them, something like that."
Alro couldn't it in, he let out a laugh. "Wow you really think my captain is doing that? Where do you think we even got our crew from! Half of those men are from other ships we have plundered. Im betting right now he's probably welcoming those men and just giving out their tasks on the ship." Alro grinned and looked off into the horizon of the sea. "I mean, where do you think he got a young boy like me from?"
"I figured he had captured you from some island or something," She said with a shrug, "I don't know anything about your captain, he could be the wildest and meanest captain anyone has ever seen and I wouldn't know." Reva looked off at the water as well, her foot tapping against the side of the small boat in boredom, "The only things I know about him are, he's the captain of that ship, and you are his little helper."
"More of, he saved me from another pirate ship. I was meant to be a slave worker on that ship. Captain always seems cold and wildest to others, always has. I believe otherwise, so do any of our other crewmates. They all hated him in the beginning, and now, they are willing to die for him. He's possibly one of kindest pirates out there. Besides being a pirate and all." Alro continued smiling off towards the water. "And I think you should reconsider being a crewmate."
Reva let out a sharp laugh and looked over at the boy, "And why would I reconsider? Right now I'm the captain of a ship, granted that ship is at the bottom of the ocean, but I'm still the captain." She crossed her arms across her chest and continued tapping her foot, her clothes slowly drying in the sun, "I have a problem with taking orders as well as being as stubborn as a mule, and that usually makes being part of a crew quite difficult."
Alro merely shook his head. "I hate to break it to you, but you being captain ended when that ship of yours sank." Alro looked at the stubborn girl, she wasn't easy to convince. "Like the captain said earlier, that stubbornness will get you nowhere, and being apart of our crew isn't as bad as you think. We don't really ever have orders, we do what we think is best and hope that works, that why the captain is so loved. He only ever really gives us orders for taking over ships." His clothes had already dried completely due to his spot in the lifeboat.
"I'll consider it." She said with a dismissive wave of her hand, "Though I have a strong feeling that your captain already hates me and will probably give me stupid orders just to make me furious." She sighed and rolled onto her back once the front of her was fully dry, quite irritated that she was still stuck on this boat, "My stubbornness got me to the rank of first mate, so I would argue that it got me somewhere, and from there it was just a matter of having a scaredy cat captain an poof, I was captain."
Alro simply shook his head. "My captain has never been one to quick to hate, and you underestimate the man for how he would treat you." He scratched his neck and looked up the ropes connecting the lifeboat and the ship, knowing why they hadn't been pulled up yet. "And would you really consider your stubbornness getting you somewhere when the only reason you became a captain was because the one before you chickened out?"
She looked over at the boy and scowled, "I became first mate with my stubbornness, so yes, I would consider my stubbornness getting me somewhere." Reva huffed and looked down into the water again, her impatience growing by the minute, "Is he going to leave us in this boat overnight?" She asked, untying her auburn hair from its braid and combing through it with her fingers.
Shaking his head Alro stood up. "You know, you should really work on that attitude of yours,it might do some good." Alro beamed with a smile while looking upward at the ship. His crewmates were making hand signs to tell him something. "Well and as for being left in the boat, i'm afraid you're the only one who is going to stay here overnight, that is unless you reconsider joining the crew." With that Alro jumped into the water. Grabbing a rope a crewmate threw done he was pulled onto the ship, leaving the girl in the lifeboat alone.
She watched him leave with a growl, sitting up in the boat and glaring up at the ship. One night, she could spend one night out here, she'd done it before. Reva blew out a sharp breath before turning her attention back to her hair, clearing her mind of the thoughts of freezing all night and eventually starving if she didn't take up his offer. She let her hair dry more before starting to braid it again, tucking every strand in expertly.
Jerome watched the girl with interest from atop the ship. He wondered how one could be so stubborn that she would rather stay in a lifeboat and most likely die. Sitting there he pondered on what should he do. Should he just leave the girl down there to starve or freeze? Or should he pull her up and give into her stubbornness? No, he wouldn't do that, he was the captain of the Silver Stallion, he gave into no one. This girl would have to make her decision. Alro put his hand on the captains shoulder, they both knew how hard it was going to be to convince the stubborn girl.
"And now I wait.." She huffed, looking up at the sky. It got cold at night, quite cold, which was just one of the few reasons that she debated joining his crew. Yes she would wound her pride, but at least there was food, drinking water, and maybe even a thin blanket up there if she was lucky. Reva laid back down in the boat and made herself comfortable as she weighed her options. She was going to be here a while.
Jerome eventually stopped watching the stubborn girl and went about his regular crew duties as captain. Earlier in time he had welcomed the new crewmates and had gotten them situated to the Silver Stallion. Since the Silver Stallion had another victory, it was only natural to celebrate. While the other crewmates were celebrating, Jerome was weighing his options on what to do with the girl. Deciding to write a note he wrote The only choice you have now is to join the crew, all necessary needs are provided here, unless of course you would rather die, your choice. He then dropped it overboard to the girl.
She barely registered that he dropped a note to her until it was right in front of her face and made her jump slightly. It landed next to her and she picked it up carefully, reading it over and then folding it up. She huffed and ran her hands over her face. Telling the captain that she would join his crew was going to be one of the most pride ruining things she was ever going to do. "Fine.." She growled, looking up at the ship, "I'll join your crew, just get me off of this stupid piece of rotting wood that you call a boat."
He smirked watching her give in. "You heard her lads! Lift up the lifeboat! Be careful now!" He shouted the orders with calm face. This girl clearly cared much about her pride, but she wouldn't regret joining the Silver Stallion. The crewmates ever so slowly lifted up the lifeboat onto the ship. Half the men armed just incase she tried to do something. "You know cap, I have a good feeling about this." Alro said with a smile. Jerome simply shook his head and smirked. This is going to be one interesting crewmate.
She crossed her arms over her chest and tucked his note away, glaring at everyone on the ship. She stepped out of the lifeboat and studied each crewmember, her gaze finally making its way to the captain. "Someone here better have whiskey." She growled, looking around the ship, "Everyone go back to whatever you were doing, I'm not going to murder anyone, you can put your weapons away." As far as she could tell the ship was nice, maybe even nicer than the Blind Doom had been.
All of the crewmates simply shrugged and went back to celebrating their victory. Alro chuckled and went to go talk with some of the older crewmates sitting on the mast. Jerome grinned looking at the girl, how cute it was to see her glare with such fiery eyes. Pulling out a whiskey bottle from his pocket he tossed it to the girl. "And look who finally decided to join the ship, welcome aboard the Silver Stallion. Chuckling he took out another whisky bottle and took a sip.
Reva scowled at him, he was enjoying the fact that she finally joined his crew a little too much. She caught the bottle of whiskey and immediately took a sip, leaning against the edge of the ship as she scanned the crew, "Joining your stupid crew better be worth it." She muttered, shooting him another glare. Being here wasn't too bad so far, he had given her a bottle of whiskey, which was more than she was given on the other ship. Granted, he didn't know what she could be like when she had too much to drink.
Jerome chuckled again. He knew she didn't like the fact he was enjoying this. Drinking more whiskey he leaned against the edge of the ship a foot away from her. "Of course it will be worth it. You know the reputation of this ship, i'm sure you'll enjoy it here." He winked in a playful way at her. Alro and a few of the older crewmates watched him from afar, only they weren't watching him, they were watching how much whiskey he was drinking. Still grinning Jerome took another sip of his whiskey.
