Jerome stood on the the mast of his ship calmly staring off towards the ship he and his crew were approaching. One of his crew members had come running on the deck with news that the infamous ship "The Blind Doom" had been near. He simply told that crew member to ready the gun power and sail towards the other ship. All that was left now was the time to be awaited for the other ship to make contact, and he had no worries about that.
Reva grinned and set a hand on her cutlass, watching the crew ready the cannons and get to their stations. She made sure her hair was tied back out of her face as she watched them near the other ship with the help of the strong winds. The thought of finally seeing action after months of nothing excited her and she paced the ship, knowing that the chance of them destroying this ship was quite high, though a small sliver of doubt crossed her mind.
Jerome jumped down from the mass to the deck with grace in his step. He needed this, action. He had been waiting for the perfect moment to seize another ship under command. It was after, all what his ship the Silver stallion had been famous for, the seizing of strong ships. Fear had its way with this ship. He neared the edge of the deck, the closest spot to the upcoming ship. "Ready those cannons lads! I want that ship to know who they are dealing with!" he shouted. He smirked thinking about seizing this particular ship, he wanted to see the new eligible crew.
Her sharp eyes studied the ship and she felt the doubt grow, her face emotionless. This ship. This was the one ship that could take theirs down, the only one that could outrun The Blind Doom or overpower them with just their cannons. She clenched her jaw and drew her sword, marching to the front of the deck with all of the power and confidence that she could muster, "Ready the cannons!" She shouted, "And prepare to tear their ship to pieces!"
He overheard the stranger shout her orders from the other ship. He couldn't help but let out a hearty laugh. So they had recognized his ship, good. He strolled down the ship feeling the knowing eyes of his crew, they knew their orders already. He took his ever so sweet time and walked to the front deck. He didn't need the confidence for this, it was already there. Making sure all the cannons and guns had been ready, he held a big smile, and faced the other ship. "Ahh so it seems we have run into The Blind Doom, what a great coincidence I must say"
Reva could hear the muttering of the crew as they saw the ship and she spun on her heel to face them, "You heard your orders! Now obey them and stop your bellyaching!" Her words were enough to make them snap back into shape and she blew out a long and slow breath, "The Silver Stallion.." She growled, her foot tapping against the deck as their ships drew nearer. Hayes was nowhere to be found and she growled again, knowing that that fool must have abandoned ship and left her to control the crew.
Jerome couldn't help but look so amused with this crew. They clearly knew about his ship. He sprang upward onto the edge of his deck and just sat down dangling his legs there. His crew, some of the best men of the sea, were ready, all they needed was their captains approval. He turned and faced the crew, holding up his clenched fist. "Alro! Come here!" he called out. Alro, Jerome's second mate, came running at the call of his name. "Ah dear Alro, please fetch me my sword". Alro nodded and ran away swiftly disappearing below deck. Jerome and turned and refaced the other ship, still holding his hand up. "I presume that you know what ship this is!" He had shouted to The Blind Doom.
"And you know this one," She shouted back, motioning to the ship with a smirk. She leaned against the side of the ship, her ship technically since Hayes had decided to leave. This was her ship now, and she planned on fighting for it. "Aim!" She shouted to her crew, turning her attention back to the Silver Stallion, "I would suggest you leave these waters if you value your life." She shouted, her hair whipping in the wind.
Jerome laughed loudly and boldly. This girl had spark he thought to himself. "Ah see now, i've never been one to take orders, especially from merely the captain of The Blind Doom." He shouted towards her. He kept his clenched fist up in the air. Behind him fifty or so cannons had been readied and aimed towards that other ship. There was no doubt in this mans heart, not one bit. Up behind him Alro came running over with Jerome's sword effortlessly. Jerome motioned to Alro and the boy placed the blackened and silver sword in his palm. "The real question is do you value your life!" He held up the sword forwards. "Tell me do you recognise this sword of mine?" He shouted while grinning.
She grinned, the thrill of being called the captain of this ship coursing through her. "Of course I know that sword, only a fool or a blind man wouldn't." Hayes never talked to anyone of the opposite ship as he signaled to destroy them, Reva planned the opposite. She wanted their crew and captain to know exactly who she was as she destroyed their ship.
He held a cold face, this girl was clearly the utmost confident. Although, he could tell when someone was untruthful about something. The adrenaline in him was starting to build up and he knew this ship would be seized soon. "So I presume you know this is a poison sword from the bermuda triangle eh?" He flung it around in the air making his crew members step back with unease. Cutting a piece of rope, he watched as the poison ate away at the string. "You see, in just one swoop anyone could be poisoned to death with this beauty" He said with a straight face. His crew behind him all smirked, they knew what he was planning here.
"Are you trying to threaten me? Or see if I'm a coward?" She asked, matching his straight face with one of her own, "That blade of yours is powerful, and I plan to take it as my own when i seize your ship and then tear it apart." Her muscles were tense and she was like a spring, ready to snap into action at any moment. The impatience in her was almost becoming too much, but she forced herself to hold off on firing the cannons for a few more moments, wanting to hear what he had to say.
He tilted his head at her. Holding his posure. "Oh my, how confident of you, but you see, that confidence will get you nowhere my dear" He could tell she was tense, he wanted to fight as much as she did. He grinned remembering his plan. With a flicker of his eyes he looked to the side of The Blind Doom looking at his crew members who were quietly sneaking aboard. He couldn't hold it in anymore and with losing his composure starting laughing aloud.
She raised an eyebrow, "What's so funny?" She asked, her whole demeanor showing off confidence with a little confusion mixed in. Her ship was still floating and so was his, none of her members had accidentally fired a shot and none had jumped overboard, it was going decent so far she figured. This was her first time commanding a ship and she refused to let it show, so she flicked her gaze to the deck of her ship for a moment, seeing nothing out of the ordinary.
He continued laughing, this was really amusing to him. The fact this woman clearly hadn't noticed what was happening made it even more hysterical to him. Without even a word his crew moved their hands to their cannons, ready for his move. In his peripheral vision he noticed his crew mates already aboard her ship. He hadn't actually anticipated them to move so quickly, so he had been very pleased. He looked straight into this girls eyes, his shining with the knowledge he was one step ahead of her in winning this.
She glared at him and whipped her head back to her ship, growling loudly when she realised what was happening. "I suppose I have to give you a congratulations on that one captain," She said with the nod of her head, "But I will not allow you to take my ship down without a fight." She rolled her shoulders and started walking towards his crew, yelling one word to her's, "Fire!" She shouted, bracing herself for the loud explosions that told her they had fired.
He grinned, stilled pleased with how fast his crew had worked for him. This was gonna be good. He leaped into the air grabbing one of the ropes hanging onto his ships mast. Embracing the hits from her cannons he held on tight to the ropes. Smirking while facing her ship, they hadn't done much damage to his ship yet, and they weren't going too. Holding his sword into the air towards the women's crew, he yelled, "Fire lads! I wanna see some real damage! And get onto that ship!" Without a word explosions and shots were happening through the air, and crew mates were making their way to the other ship.
"Fight! Reload the cannons and fire them as fast as your little bodies can, the rest of you get fighting!" She shouted, getting right into the middle of the fighting on her ship and attacking fiercely. The hits from his cannons did some decent damage to her ship, but she refused to just surrender, even if defending her ship was a lost cause. Without another glance at the rest of her crew she could tell that they had listened. His ship might be faster and have more firepower than hers, but this crew was arguably the wildest and fiercest on the sea.
Watching silently and observingly he watched the girl fight. She was a fierce one this girl. Without another word he pointed straight towards the middle of her ship near where the fighting was happening. Taking in the clue of what he was pointing at the crew members started reloading and preparing to shoot in that area, taking the moment to secretly warn their crew members who were in that area to move. Swinging with the rope he was holding onto tightly he swung himself onto the other ship, near the fight. Smirking he waved over Alro who swung over as well. This was going to be good.
Reva fought with ease, running on adrenaline more than anything. She could hear shouting from her crew, but it was just noise, even if it was important. More cannon shots came from her ship and the sound made her ears ring, a grin appearing on her face. After taking out the crew member she was fighting she spun on her heel, scanning the area for another person to take down. Her eyes landed on the captain of the Silver Stallion and she started towards him, narrowing her eyes.
Jerome spun around with ease taking out whatever people came at him. It all came easy to him. Next to him Alro was fighting off some of the other pirates from the ship. Waving his hand in the air more and more shots from his ship were fired. Half of his crew had made it over now. Looking around her had noticed some of his crew had been taken down by the captain of The Blind Doom. Impressive, but he wasn't going to let a mere girl take him down, no way. He spotted her coming his way and glared her down. "Alro come to my side! It seems we have a captain coming our way!"
She took a moment to look around the deck quick, noting that her crew was still fighting strong, even as they lost members. The ship on the other hand, wasn't doing as good. They hadn't started sinking yet, but she could tell that they had gotten hit quite a few times and that the damage was significant. Her stride was confident and she focused back on the other captain, studying him for a moment. She looked to her side and was confused for a moment before she realized that Hayes had abandoned ship, she had no one walking alongside her that she could joke with as she went to take down the captain.
He eyed around the ship, taking notice of his crew, but he wasn't worried in anyway. He had one trick up his sleeve that was never anticipated by any other ship. There was after all, another reason why he always won these. He looked to Alro, expecting him to look like the happy and confident boy he was used to, but instead this time there was a huge look of doubt in his eyes. Jerome couldn't blame him, Alro was but just a boy who had joined the Silver stallion at such a young age, and he didn't want Alro to doubt him. He turned to Alro. "Don't worry Alro my lad, I promise I won't let you down this time." He turned and faced the other captain with the utmost confident face.
