“Yeah, let’s.” Wilhelm sighed slightly, adjusting the strap of his bag and placing his hands in his pockets.
“Yeah, let’s.” Wilhelm sighed slightly, adjusting the strap of his bag and placing his hands in his pockets.
Connor adjusted his bag, looking up at Wilhelm for a moment, then out at the hallway.
Wilhelm walked to their classroom, keeping his eyes ahead. There was a little bit of a tremor in Wilhelm’s movements as he walked, but he tried to control it the best that he could.
Connor followed Wilhelm into the classroom, chewing on his lip. He wasn't sure why Wilhelm was so very nervous, but he knew that he would do his best to comfort his roommate if and when he needed to.
Wilhelm sat at his desk, drumming his fingers on the table as he watched their teacher pass out papers. He took a couple steady breaths, glancing over at Connor and giving him a weak smile. When Wilhelm had finally gotten his exam back, he didn’t even look at the score- only flipped it, face down onto his desk.
Connor checked his exam, letting out a faint sigh when he saw his score. It wasn't terrible, not enough to doom the rest of his grades, but it definitely could have been better.
Wilhelm flipped his test over, wincing a bit when he saw the score. Worse than he expected. He bit his cheek, beginning to pick lightly at his left knuckle. The teacher began his lecture, writing things out on the chalkboard.
Connor glanced over at Wilhelm, biting his lip. He reached over, gently brushing a hand on the German boy's shoulder to get his attention.
Wilhelm perked up slightly at the touch, dragged out of his little world. He looked over, head tilted slightly to the side.
Connor gave him a quick smile. "you okay?" he mouthed, raising his eyebrows at Wilhelm.
Wilhelm shrugged, tapping the paper. “i’m fine, yeah. lower than i wanted. The boy shrugged, glancing back up at the board momentarily and scribbling down some notes.
Connor looked up to take some notes as well, then looked at Wilhelm again. "alright." he replied with a quick smile.
“Sallow! Macphearson! Am I boring you?” The teacher barked, having caught them not paying complete attention.
“Uh- no, sir!” Wilhelm quickly turned back around, continuing to copy notes.
Connor jumped, looking down at his notes guiltily. "No sir. Sorry." he said quickly, biting his lip a little bit.
The rest of the class was just notes, and Wilhelm had taken up a sheet and a half (front and back) before the class was even finished. He wrote quickly, only taking occasional breaks when the cramps in his hands were too much.
Connor kept taking notes, his handwriting a little jagged and messy as he wrote.
(ts until after classes? i don’t have any more plans for the class, if i’ll be honest)
(yeah sure lmao)
(alright, i’ll take care of that (unless you want to)!)
(yes please! I gtg in like ten minutes, so IDK if I'll reply again)
Wilhelm dropped his bag on his bed, groaning in exasperation as he loosened his tie and pulled off his jumper. He ran his fingers through his hair, sitting down on the edge of his bed and digging around in his bag for a book.
Connor had headed to the library, to return his book, which he had somehow already finished. He was a fast reader, though, so perhaps that explained it. He was currently scanning the shelves for a new one.
Wilhelm fell asleep within the hour, thoroughly exhausted by the day’s work. His book was open-faced on top of his chest, as if he had fallen asleep while reading and dropped it. Wilhelm’s jumper was now being used like a makeshift blanket, draped over him the best that it could be.
(is this before or after dinner?)
Connor kept looking through the library, occasionally pulling down books, flipping trhough them, then putting them back.
(i’m gonna say before!)
Wilhelm woke up after a few minutes, blinking the sleep out of his eyes. He sat up, running his fingers through his hair. The book and the sweater fell down, which startled Wilhelm enough to make him yelp quietly.
