Connor chuckled a little. "Well, ah can see why you'd feed her." He remarked. "She's adorable." He kept petting the little dog.
Connor chuckled a little. "Well, ah can see why you'd feed her." He remarked. "She's adorable." He kept petting the little dog.
“Do you want to hold her? She’s light.” The little dog was limp in Wilhelm’s arms, nearly falling asleep. “She’s tired, I think. Long day of killing mice.”
Connor smiled, and gently took the dog from Wilhelm. "Alrigh'." He replied. He held the little dog gently, and began to pet her again.
“So.. I haven’t asked yet- what’s your class schedule like?” Wilhelm pet Bonnie behind the ears, looking down at Connor. “I might be able to give you some advice on dealing with the teachers.”
Connor hesitated. "Uhm…ah dinnae remember off th' top o' my head." He replied slowly. "Ah have a list ah can check when we get back t' the room."
“Sure, sure.” Wilhelm was quiet for a second. “When do you want to eat? Dinner closes in.. an hour and a half, I think.”
Connor shrugged a little, looking down at the little dog as he petted her. "Ah dinnae really care either way." He replied after a moment of thinking. "Ah dinnae need ta eat much."
Wilhelm nodded. “I understand. Used to be like that, then I took up sports and now I eat like a rabid animal, so there’s that.” He laughed, voice clear like a bell’s chime.
Connor laughed a little as well. "Well, 't isn't really like tha'. Ah'm just used ta not eatin' all tha' much. Not hungry much, either." He was used to avoiding the dinner table. Avoiding his uncle.
“Oh, I see.” Wilhelm glanced at the squirming dog in Connor’s arms. He was curious as to why, although he knew that was none of his business. He decided not to ask.
Connor buried his face in the dog's fur, smiling a little bit and stroking the squirming dog. He took a deep breath.
“You know, I think she likes you.” Wilhelm smiled at the sight of the interaction, going back to leaning on the old brick wall. “She hasn’t bit or scratched you yet, right? That’s a good sign.”
Connor laughed a little. "Well tha's good." He replied with a quick smile.
“And she’s picky about who she likes, too. Aren’t you, Bonnie?” Wilhelm was back to the baby for voice a short, short bit. He fully realized how ridiculous he looked, but it felt a lot more natural than talking to the dog in a normal way. “She’s no stranger to biting the absolute fuck out of some of these kids. She’s a literal ankle biter.”
Connor laughed. "I bet." He replied, petting her gently.
(Gtg to bed now. Good night!)
)gn!)
“It’s all that little dog aggression, though. That’s what makes her such a good ratter.” Wilhelm declared, running his fingers through his curls.
Connor smirked a little. "'s a shorty thing." he retorted, looking up at Wilhelm with a grin and a laugh.
“Is it? I don’t get that from you, but maybe I’m wrong.” Wilhelm had half a mind to ruffle Connor’s hair- although he decided against it.
Connor smirked a little bit. "Bu' yeh have no pissed me off, now have ye?" he replied. "An' besides, ah'm a Scotsman. We're known fer our tempers."
“Well, now I see my mistake.” Wilhelm laughed softly, scratching underneath the small dog’s chin. “I don’t doubt you’ve got yourself a temper, but I don’t know- I just can’t see you getting angry like that.” He shrugged.
Connor shrugged, petting the top of the dog's head. "Eh. No' angry enough to really hurt people, ah dinnae think. But ah've got a sharp tongue when ah want to. Ah'm no' big enough for physical fights."
Bonnie wiggles in Connor’s arms, trying to free herself. Chances are she smelled or saw a critter, whether it was a rodent or a bug was debatable. “Well, a sharp tongue can be useful. You considered doing debate? We’re known for our speech and debate team, you know.”
Connor gently set the dog down, and stood up straight again. He screwed up his face a little at the question. "Ah can't say ah have. But tha' might be fun, yeah. Ah'll check it out."
“They’re good. I’m not on it, but I knew some people that are. I think you’d be a good fit.” Wilhelm shrugged again, watching the little ratter scurry away.
Connor nodded. "Hm. Alright." He replied with a quick smile. "Sounds good. Like ah said, ah'll check it out."
