"Just turn towards the couch with my wings off the other side." Nathaniel shrugged. "Or I can just fold them so they're close to my back like this." He folded his wings to show what he meant.

"Is that comfortable…are they soft? Sorry thats off topic" Carter led him back towards the bar.

"It's comfortable enough, and yeah, they're pretty soft as long as I keep them clean and preened." Nathaniel shrugged again and stretched out one wing so it was in Carter's reach. "You can touch if you want."

"really?!" carter practically jumped then cleared his throat, catching himself, he gently ran his hand over Nathaniel's wings. "amazing"

Nathaniel shivered a bit when Carter touched him, his feathers rising for a moment before settling back down. He definitely wasn't used to being touched very often, but his wings were very soft.

Carter smiled to himself as he ran his fingers of the wings lightly.

Although the sensation was strange and unfamiliar at first, Nathaniel decided he liked it, but he kept walking anyways since he still wanted to go to sleep.

Carter sighed and stopped touching Nathaniel's wings when they got back at the bar. "there's an apartment upstairs, that's where I live, alone." he shrugged, walking to the stairs that were outside. He led Nathaniel up to his apartment, unlocking the door and leading him inside.

"Alright, sounds good." Nathaniel followed Carter closely, still nervous to be in an unfamiliar place, but trying not to come off as a wuss. He yawned again and flirted his wings a couple times to get his feathers back into place after Carter had been messing with them.

Carter showed him around, the apartment opened up to a living room and kitchen with 2 doors on the far wall. "There's the living room, kitchen, thats the bathroom, and bedroom" he pointed to each room. "Luckily, I am only here to sleep so it shouldn't be that messy…. hypothetically"

Nathaniel hadn't been in an apartment in a while, so he seemed genuinely interested as he looked around. "Sounds good to me! I'll probably hit the hay soon… I've been on my feet all day, so I'm exhausted." He laughed softly.

"Understandable, so.. are you sleeping where?" he asked, forgetting what they had agreed on as sleeping arrangments.

"I'll sleep on the couch." Nathaniel replied, smiling a bit as he stretched. Even the couch would definitely be far better than sleeping on the cold floor.

Carter nodded, "well there is a blanket there, and uh.. yeah… I will be in my room if you need anything" He said awkwardly before hiding in his room.

"Great, thanks." Nathaniel waved goodbye, turned off the lights, and huddled up in the blanket on the couch. It didn't take him too long to fall asleep, and he was still out in the morning.

Carter had stayed up for a few hours, figuring out the next time he would race, before he got bored and decided to sleep. He woke up and quietly walked into the kitchen. Fixing himself a drink.

Nathaniel stirred when he heard Carter rummaging around in the kitchen. He sat up and yawned, rubbing at his eyes. "Mmnh… what time is it…?" He groaned softly and got to his feet, stretching out his wings.

Carter shrugged, and pulled out his phone. "morning" he said, both greeting and answering the time question. "How'd you sleep?" he asked, looking Nathaniel's wings.

"Mmnh… pretty well, you?" Nathaniel replied, starting to preen himself as he walked over to the kitchen. "I'll have to head to work soon…"

"I slept.. I think…"He shrugged. "I could take you to work, I have to work tonight"

"Oh, really? You wouldn't mind?" Nathaniel asked, his wings fluttering a bit. It would be nice to not have to walk, especially since he didn't know exactly where he was.

"Yeah, I have a shit car I drive during the day, but if your ok with it I can take you" he shrugged.

"Yeah, that's fine. Beats walking for sure. I'd probably get lost, anyway." He laughed softly. "I don't know how to get to work from here."

"Oh its just a couple blocks and a few turns" carter smirked. "But if you let me pick you up, you can see my real car"

"Um… sure, if you want to." Nathaniel shrugged. "I don't really know anything about cars, but I'm sure it's good."
