“C’mon it’s 10 am already and I was bored!” Jax whined.
Ethan rolled his eyes, punching the other in the shoulder. “You’re such an idiot.”
“C’mon it’s 10 am already and I was bored!” Jax whined.
Ethan rolled his eyes, punching the other in the shoulder. “You’re such an idiot.”
"And might've given me a headache." She sat up on her elbows, shaking her hair out of her eyes.
“You’ll be fine it’s good for you.” Jax said dismissively.
Ethan sighed, turning to Becca. “Do you need me to get you anything?”
"Nah, I'll be fine. Just didn't appreciate having my pillow being tugged out from under me and slamming my head onto the floor."
“Well anyway, you guys want something to eat?” Ethan asked, standing up from where he’d been sitting on the floor.
"That'd be nice." She fully sat up with a yawn, running her fingers through her hair.
“Okay, anything specific you want?” Ethan asked.
“Ethan can actually cook.” Jax told her in an astonished tone.
“Perks of mostly living alone I guess.” Ethan shrugged.
"Um, surprise me? I don't usually get breakfast so I don't have any preferences."
“Okay then we’re having waffles.” Ethan announced, leaving the room.
“Yes!” Jax cheered, grinning widely.
She shook her head with a smile. "You're an actual child, I swear."
Jax shrugged. “More fun that way I guess.”
"You have more energy than you should for this early in the morning." She yawned again, rubbing sleep from her eyes.
“Yeah but I’ve been up for like an hourrrrr.” He said, standing and offering her a hand up.
"That sounds like a you problem." She took his hand and pulled herself up, listening to her bones crack and pop as she did.
He shrugged. “C’mon!” He gently began dragging her out of the room and downstairs.
"Okay, okay, there's no need to pull!" She laughed, stumbling over her feet as he suddenly tugged her forward but managed to catch herself without faceplanting.
“Well you weren’t moving quickly enough.” Jax said simply before racing down the stairs.
She rolled her eyes and went down after him. But she missed the last step and fall. Hard. She watched her life flash before her eyes before she hit the floor with a sickening thud. "Ow…"
“Jesus Christ! You really wiped out.” Jax exclaimed, kneeling down next to her, his face full of concern. “Are you okay? Anything broken or bleeding?” He asked worriedly.
“Jax! What’d you do?!” Ethan yelled from the kitchen, having heard the thud.
“For once I didn’t do anything!” Jax hollered back.
She sat up with a pained groan. "I think I'm okay. Nothing that wasn't bleeding or broken before I fell." She laughed breathlessly. She cradled her now slightly pounding head in her non injured hand considering her broken wrist was now pulsing with pain since she'd landed on it.
Jax frowned. “Do you need Advil or anything?” He asked gently.
"No, no, I'll be fine. It's nothing I can't handle Jax." She forced herself onto her feet, her balance feeling a bit unsteady but not so much that she didn't feel like she'd be able to walk.
“Are you sure?” He asked, trailing after her.
"More than sure." She wandered into the kitchen, leaning against the counter. "Finally here and not dead."
Ethan looked over at them, doing a quick visual check that she wasn’t any more hurt than before. He nodded. “Well the food’s about ready so why don’t you two go sit down.”
