Abarat chuckled. "Well, you could come with me to where I used to work," he paused. "It's a bit dangerous, but there's business I need to settle there."
"Sure! I'll leave the cats outside so they don't eat all your food." Cas whistled and surprisingly, all the cats actually listened to him. He walked outside and the herd followed, and he came back in once they were all out. "Alrighty! Ready to go!"
Abarat walked outside, and in the direction of where they were last night. "Hey, your injury is good right?" He leaned over to get a glimpse of the back of Cas' head.
"Yeah, I'm alright… I've got a headache, but nothing major." Cas kept following Abarat.
"That's good. Hopefully it won't get worse," he continued walking towards their destination, his hands in his pockets.
Cas nodded and hummed softly to himself while they walked, looking around at the town he knew so well. They arrived pretty soon after that.
Ahead of them, there was a door. Before Abarat opened it, he turned to Cas. "Um… I'm gonna need you to do something. Just as a precaution."
"Sure! What is it?" Cas looked up at Abarat, still a bit intimidated by his height despite trusting him.
(Abarat is a foot and three inches taller than Cas lol)
( P e r f e c t i o n )
Abarat seemed embarrassed by this, as his face turned a light shade of pink. "I need you to hold my hand. You're short, and I can't lose you in that crowd."
Cas blushed a bit as well, but nodded and took Abarat's hand in his own. His hands looked tiny next to Abarat's.
(Literally he doesn't even reach Abarat's shoulder)
(Same goes for me and my boyfriend lmao Even BeTtEr!)
Abarat slightly flinched at Cas' touch but tried to cover it up by coughing. He opened the door and walked in, to reveal your stereotypical gang hideout. Abarat tightened his grip on Cas' hand, his anxiety increasing with every step. Bystanders in the building glared at Abarat when he walked by.
Cas stayed close to Abarat, though he still looked around curiously. The place was interesting to him, as he'd never been in here before. However, he really stood out here with his ginger hair and small stature, and a lot of the guys were glaring at him.
Abarat opened a door, his hands shaking when he did. Inside there was a tough man, who may have been smaller than Abarat, but he was definitely tougher. Abarat let go of Cas' hand, as there was no one in the room except them.
Cas was silent and he stayed close to Abarat subconsciously, looking up at the man and then back to Abarat. What kind of business could he possibly have with a group like this?
Abarat bowed respectfully. "I have done my part. Release me from this group, and from my debt."
The man said nothing, he only stared curiously at Cas.
Cas bowed as well after watching Abarat, figuring that was the right thing to do. His heart pounded a bit faster when he noticed the man staring at him.
(Okay so A: is Abarat obviously and G: is the Group.. leader. or something-)
G: "What… is that?" He pointed at Cas.
A: Abarat blocked Cas from the man's view. "He is someone whose company I enjoy."
G: "His name?"
A: Abarat lied, "his name is Felix."
G: "Come here, Felix."
Abarat looked at Cas, his eyes wide. Cas would have to obey the man or he would die, but hasn't he already been through enough for the past 15 hours?
Cas hesitated before approaching the man. "Y-Yes, sir?" He asked quietly, looking up at him nervously.
The man whistled, and 20 other men burst down the door and surrounded Cas. Abarat felt like fighting all of them, but they had weapons. He was at a disadvantage. Two of the men grabbed Cas by the arms and drug him out to a different room. While they did so, Abarat furiously yelled at the "head honcho"
"Hey! L-Let go of me!" Cas struggled against their grip, but they were actually holding him up off the ground by his arms, so he couldn't even try to run.
They forced Cas to lay down in your average torturing chair. Gunshots could be heard from the room that Abarat was in.
(psst can I do a time skip and just give you a list of what they did to him?)
(Sure if you want lol)
(Okay! These people
Time skip
Abarat burst down the door with two guns in his hands. He had been shot, twice, but that didn't really matter to him. When the torture people things saw him, they backed off of Cas.
Abarat picked up Cas, trying not to falter (also ik this is super unrealistic unless if you're a God, but in my world Abarat is literally part God. So. But I am trying to humanize him! So uh-), after all gunshot wounds hurt. Trying to stay silent was a challenge as well. He carried Cas out of the building, and started walking towards his house.
"Are you- nngh. Are you okay?"
Cas didn't respond, as he was unconscious at the moment. As soon as the new pain had stopped, he'd passed out, since there was nothing else forcing him to stay conscious. He whimpered quietly, huddling close to Abarat for warmth and protection.
