Abarat chuckled softly. "Of course. But you might want to sleep somewhere more comfortable," He picked Cas and up (bridal style again) and escorted him to a guest bedroom. Laying Cas down on the bed he said, "that's probably better."
Abarat chuckled softly. "Of course. But you might want to sleep somewhere more comfortable," He picked Cas and up (bridal style again) and escorted him to a guest bedroom. Laying Cas down on the bed he said, "that's probably better."
Cas had passed out on the way to the bedroom, his head laying against Abarat's chest. His cats had gotten in and jumped onto the bed to lay with him.
Abarat smiled and passed out on the couch that was near the bed.
Time skip to morning, I guess?
(Yep)
Cas woke up in the morning and sat up, bewildered. "I don't have a bed…" He muttered to himself. "But my cats are here… I don't remember drinking… where the fuck am I??"
Abarat replied with a sleepy voice, "You're in my house. You got attacked by some jerk last night, so I patched you up."
Cas fell off the bed when Abarat spoke, startled. He hit the ground with a loud thud and groaned, his cats meowing at him from the bed.
Abarat laughed. What a klutz. "Need help up?" He offered Cas his hand
"Sure…" Cas let Abarat help him up. "You scared me… I didn't know you were there." He laughed weakly, glancing over at his cats.
"Well, sorry about that." He stood up, towering over Cas. "You feeling better?"
"A little…" Cas cowered a bit in front of Abarat, seemingly intimidated by his height.
"That's good," he smiled and walked over to the window, looking out at the view. "So, um. You said you didn't have any place to live."
"Well… no. I live in an alleyway with my cats." Cas said simply, not fully understanding what was going on.
Abarat looked at him with a disapproving look. "That's not exactly safe, Cas."
"How not? I've got an old mattress I found to sleep on, I've got my cats to keep me warm… It's alright." Cas shrugged a bit, yawning.
He rolled his eyes and scoffed, "Well, I think last night's events should be evidence on why that's not safe."
"Pfft… stuff like that only happens like, once or twice a mont- you know what, I see your point… It's not usually this bad, though." Cas sat down on the bed.
Abarat leaned on the wall and crossed his arms. "It's still isn't safe. Do you have anywhere else to live? With family? Friends?"
Cas shook his head. "No friends, and my family is dead. Well, I actually have no clue where my mother is or if she's alive, but I don't plan on looking for her."
(Bump)
(the hell? i answered this.)
Abarat studied him for a moment, sympathizing with him. "Well, if that's the case you're free to stay here for as long as you like."
"R-Really?" Cas looked up, surprised. "I really don't deserve that… thank you…"
He grinned at him, "Please, you deserve more than this!" He spoke with a playful tone, trying to light up the conversation. "Do you and your cats want some food?"
"Oh! Food… um, sure. I've heard eating is good, though I don't do a lot of eating." Cas laughed a bit.
Abarat chuckled. "Well. Okay then." Grabbing his hand, he led him to the kitchen. "Take your pick," he gestured towards the abundance of food he had.
Cas's eyes danced around as he looked at the food, overwhelmed. "Shit… I don't even know what half of this stuff is."
