"I can't fight her," Megan replied glumly.
"I can't fight her," Megan replied glumly.
"You can." Fyn said, looking her dead in the eyes, "You can, I know that you're able to."
Megan held his gaze for another moment, but she was the first to look away. "I can't…"
He sighed slightly and shook his head, "But you can, it may not be easy -most things aren't- but you can, think about something that makes you feel powerful and use that as help."
She closed her eyes painfully. She had felt powerful holding that knife and nearly making that decision. Her angel was right – this wasn't going to be easy at all.
Fyn looked around and sighed, "I'll go hide now, your parents are going to be home soon I'm guessing…this is going to be difficult, I don't usually stay this far away from you."
"Is there any way that you can make yourself disappear again?" she asked.
"I don't know, I can try though." He rubbed the back of his neck and took a few steps away from her, flexing his wings out before tucking them back in as much as he could and trying to imagine himself invisible.
Her eyes widened. "Oh my God… it worked." Queen meowed in surprise and padded over to where Fyn had been standing.
He looked around before focusing on Megan, "Can you still hear me?" He asked, hoping that she could hear him though he wasn't sure.
"Yes," she said quietly. "I can hear you."
He sighed in relief, "Alright then, now we just have to make sure your family can't see or hear me." He looked down at where Queen was at his feet and took a step back, still not liking her cat.
Queen meowed and took another step towards him.
"Queen, stop that," Megan scolded the cat, scooping her up into her arms.
Fyn smiled thankfully at her even though she couldn't see him, "Thank you, your cat still..is not my favorite."
"I'll try to keep her away from you," Megan assured him.
"Again, thanks." He looked around and rubbed the back of his neck, starting to pace around the room.
Megan shifted awkwardly. Being able to talk to someone you couldn't see was a lot more strange than she'd first though. Hearing his footsteps made it worse.
His wings fluttered ever so slightly for no reason and he felt himself start to hover above the floor barely as he paced, needing to exercise his wings before they cramped.
Her eyes widened when his footsteps disappeared. "Um… Fyn?" she whispered, looking around.
"Still here," He said, forcing his wings to stop so she could see that he was around, "I just needed to fly a little bit, I can stop if you want."
"No it's fine, I just thought you disappeared. Like, left me alone," she said quietly.
Fyn smiled softly, "I wouldn't do that, I'm always here for you." He resumed his hovering of sorts and continued around the room.
She couldn't see his smile, but she heard it in his words. Now that she knew he'd always been beside her, the thought of being truly alone terrified her.
"So, when is your family coming home?" He asked, stopping in front of her and dropping to the floor.
She gasped a little, hearing his landing. "Um…" Her eyes flickered to the clock. "Fifteen minutes."
