Gray’s POV:
I rolled my eyes.
“Please, don’t insult yourself by pulling me to your level,” I joked, kissing her on the forehead. “You’re my beautiful goddess. You’re the human Aphrodite, albeit with not a single speck of a bitchy personality. Don’t ever think of yourself as unattractive because you are so much more than that.”
My heart melted.
“You have such a way with words…” I whispered to him, my eyes flickering down to his incredibly inviting mouth. “Thank you..”
Gray’s POV:
I noticed where her eyes flickered to, and tried not to take her right there and then.
“Only for you, love,” I whispered. “All you’ll hear from me is the truth, unless there’s a surprise I’m planning and would need to keep you from realizing what.”
Tell me you want me to kiss you. Tell me so I can take you some place quiet.
“I love you…” I murmured, my eyes fixed to his tempting lips by now. But I placed a hand in the centre of his chest, not wanting to cause a scene.
Gray’s POV:
I forced a smile on my features, my burning lips resting on her forehead, giving her a gentle kiss.
“I love you, too, my beautiful goddess,” I held her closer, trying to control myself. Just a few more hours. Then I could have her lips.
“I wish I could kiss you…” I whispered, voice slightly rough. “Only a few more hours…. then, you can devour me.”
Gray’s POV:
“Oh, I will, all right,” I practically growled. “You have no idea what’s in store for you, my love.”
I went weak against his chest, trembling slightly from only his words and the enormous sway they held over me.
“I can’t wait….”

Eden’s POV:
I swallowed thickly, my hand reaching out automatically for Sterling’s. I was completely and utterly entranced, wrapped around his fingers like a puppet. I didn’t even care, didn’t even try to fight the siren-like ability he possessed.
“Yes…” I didn’t know whether he could hear me or not, because I certainly couldn’t. I could barely speak, my body flushed with need, with want. The one night I spend away from him drained me physically. I could barely get any sleep, missing his warmth. Missing him. He was my wall, my strength, my everything and without him I was absolutely nothing. Utterly useless.
Sterling’s POV:
As soon as she took my hand, I was carefully pulling her into the dance floor. I tugged her close to me, both hands burning as they rested on her waist while we swayed with the music. I swallowed thickly and leaned forward to touch our foreheads together.
“I’m sorry for disappearing on you,” I murmured quietly. “I just didn’t want to cause a scene, and it was too early to just disappear together…”
Eden's POV:
I shivered when he rested his hands on my waist, pulling me close until there wasn't any space left between us. My breathing felt heavy and I closed my eyes, cheeks flushed red as he touched our foreheads together.
I swallowed, my knees trembling, ready to give out any second. If this is what he did to me by just being near me… I don't know how I would survive this night. Finally, I couldn't take the proximity anymore. It was too much.
I pulled away from him, taking deep, shuddering breaths.
"I can't do this anymore…" I whispered harshly, shaking my head.
Sterling’s POV:
She was the only thing keeping me sane. The only thing keeping me from just straight up pressing our lips together and making out with her right there and then.
And then she pulled away, and I felt a part of myself go with her.
I looked down at her, confused and worried that I’d done something wrong. What was it this time? I though we were trying to just have a nice dance…
“What’s wrong, E? What did I do?” I asked quietly, my eyes swimming with worry and… hurt…
Eden's POV:
I grabbed his hand immediately, pulling him through the crowd, watching out for feet so I wouldn't step on them. I was desperate, my chest burning, my mind completely blank. One touch from him and I burned like fire on a matchstick.
When we were finally away from the party and the people, safely inside the backdoor of the estate, I pushed Sterling against the wall, pulled him down and tried to connect our lips.
"Kiss me," I practically begged, paying no attention to the shameless way I said it. "For the love of God, Sterling, just kiss me already."
Sterling’s POV:
She tugged me away, and the look in her eyes just killed me… And then we were inside and alone, and she was begging me to kiss her…
“All you had to do was say the word,” I murmured before leaning down and pressing our lips together. This kiss was hot, desperate, much like the other times we kissed, but it was different this time. This time, we both had missed each other for the entire night, and now we were together again, and not being able to kiss the other was absolute, pure torture.
Eden's POV:
Fireworks immediately exploded in my stomach the second he pressed our lips together, and I wrapped my arms around his neck, pushing into him, trying to decrease the distance between us. My body felt hot against his, need washing over me, exploding out of me like a volcano eruption, leaking out hot molten lava. One day away from him and I was already this desperate–this needy.
I teased him by pulling his lower lip in between my teeth, pushing him to the edge so he'd slam me against the wall and completely devour me. I wanted to go insane against his lips–wanted to fall deeper into this pit he was digging for me. Nothing else mattered anymore. It was just me, him and his lips on mine, and that was all I wanted in this moment.
Sterling’s POV:
I felt her tug on my lip with her teeth, and I let out a low growl as I pressed my lips harder against hers. With my hands on her waist, I backed her up against the wall. She hit it fairly hard, but I was careful — as always — to not hurt her.
“I missed you so much,” I groaned before prompting her lips apart with my own.
Eden’s POV:
I let out a gasp when he backed me up against the wall, pressing his lips against mine harder. He pried my lips open and I let him, groaning against his mouth, falling flat against him.
”Sterling…”

Sterling’s POV:
“Eden,” I murmured against her, loving the way her name felt in my mouth, how it rolled easily off my tongue. I had a feeling that I’d we didn’t pull back soon, we would be in a bit of trouble…
Eden’s POV:
I gripped his shoulders tightly, my knees buckling from under me. I was grateful for the wall behind me, and Sterling in front of me, preventing me from falling.
The way my name rolled off of tongue sent shivers down my spine. I wanted him to constantly call my name, especially in times like these.
“I love you,” I gasped against his mouth, eyes screwed shut, not wanting to pull away.
Sterling’s POV:
I took her lip between my teeth and tugged gently before releasing it. “I love you, too… So, so much…” I breathed, pulling away for a moment before pecking her lips again. “But if we don’t stop now, I don’t know how much longer I’ll be able to keep the last shred of my self control.”
