Gray’s POV:
I sighed at her question. I suppose it wasn’t her fault for being curious. I was a notorious playboy. It was understandable why she’d ask.
“No, no girlfriends,” I replied honestly. “I didn’t like commitment. I made that known to whoever I… interacted with.”
"No girlfriends?" I sounded surprised—and I was. Yes, he'd told me that he'd refrained from creating something long-term with people because of his past and sister, but it seemed unfathomable to me that this amazing, lovable man had never been in a relationship before.
“Why do you sound so surprised?” I quirked an eyebrow. “Is it because of my nature, and the fact that I have had no girlfriend in the past sounds unbelievable?”
Honestly, even if I could change things, I wouldn’t have a girlfriend. I was perfectly content in calling Vy my first girlfriend, and my first love. That wouldn’t change. Ever.
I thumped his chest lightly. "It is because of you nature, but not in the way that you think. You're just so…. lovable. Amazing. In every way… I guess I was just surprised that I'm the first to be with you."
Gray’s POV:
My heart skipped a beat and I might have turned pink, but I brushed it off with a grin. She thought I was lovable? Amazing?
“I’m only this way with you,” I murmured, kissing her on the nose. “Because you’re special. You’re the first one who made me think, ‘I want her.’”
I pulled him onto the bed and slipped into his lap, affectionately bumping our noses together. And I swear, if heart eyes were possible in real life, I'd be doing them right now.
"I…." My breath hitched. "I think I should just paint the words 'thank you' across my forehead so that you won't get tired of me saying them."
Gray’s POV:
My breath hitched in my throat the second she pushed me on the bed and settled on my lap. I swear, she was doing this on purpose.
“You know, you could always change your tactics. Not that I hate hearing you say that. It makes me know you like what I do,” I murmured. “But kiss me every time instead of saying thank you.”
I answered this by sliding my arms over his shoulders and pressing my still-swollen mouth to his, only this tome in a much softer, almost tender kiss.
"Like this?"
Gray’s POV:
I kissed her back just as softly, cupping her cheeks gently, moving my mouth against hers.
“Yeah,” I breathed out. “Like that.”
"We should kiss like this more often…" I murmured against his soft, inviting lips. "I really like it when we kiss like this…"
I hummed in reply, my fingers in her hair.
“Soft?” I mumbled, too dazed because of the effect of her lips. “We can do soft more often.”
"Soft," I agreed, shifting forwards in his lap. "Slow."
I leaned in again, eyes falling shut.
Gray’s POV:
I fell back on the bed, pulling Violeta along with me, her lips still connecting, moving slowly.
“I love you,” I murmured. “So much. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of saying this.”
I let out a tiny squeak of surprise, falling against his chest. Laying my forearms on his chest, I propped my body up on my elbows, smiling shyly.
"I'll never get tired of it either…"
Gray’s POV:
I cupped her cheeks, pulling her lips away from mine to stare in her eyes.
“Tell me you love me, too,” I murmured, looking at her with love and affection.
"I love you…." I whispered, disentangling my arms from around his neck to settle my hands on either cheek. "I love you, Grayson Jules."
Gray’s POV:
My heart skipped a beat when she said my full name, and with that expression on her features.
I screwed my eyes shut, releasing a heavy breath.
“Ah, I can’t do this,” I whispered. “You’re going to kill me.”
My face fell.
Grateful that Gray couldn't see my expression, I rolled off of him, grabbing his sweater and making for the washroom. "Sorry… I guess I'll go change, then," I murmured, before closing the door behind me.
Gray’s POV:
“No, God, that’s not what I meant, Vy,” I immediately grabbed her arm and pulled her back before she could close it. I turned her around so her back was to the wall.
My cheeks were tinted pink and I was sure the tip of my ears were, too.
“Do you know what you’re doing to me?” I murmured. “When you say my name like that. It gets me every time.”
My heart stopped.
Eyes going wide, I stared up at him, dazed and helpless to resist.
"Grayson Jules…" I whispered again, slipping my arms around him. "Like that?"
Gray’s POV:
I kissed her softly, slowly just like she wanted me to earlier, cupping her cheeks as her arms slipped around me.
“Yeah, like that…” I murmured. “I don’t like hearing my full name, but when you say it… it’s a completely different story.”
"'Gray' suits you more," I murmured into his mouth, soaking up his warmth. "And saying 'I love you, Gray,' sounds nicer.."
Gray’s POV:
“I’ll have to agree,” I pulled away gently, resting my forehead against hers. “Change now. I don’t want you wearing something that’ll make you uncomfortable.”
As he had requested earlier, I thanked him with a gently kiss, nodded, and slipped behind the half-closed door.
Gray’s POV:
Shaking my head, I grabbed my own clothes before I left to change, releasing a shaky breath. When she was around me, I pretended to be okay. The second she would leave… I would feel the effects of her presence.
This woman was going to be the death of me, and I know I wouldn’t even dodge the sword.
