@Fraust

Lucas shook his head. I rarely get to leave the castle. My parents are very strict. His hood had fallen down by now, revealing his fluffy, though neat, blonde hair.

@bubblegum

Callie nodded to show he understood. Before he moved here, his parents were always a little too loving. Also, Lucas' hair was incredibly fluffy-looking hair, and he blushed a little at the thought. Is there anything you want to see?

@Fraust

Anything, really. I have never been this far into what is supposed to be my city. He sighed softly, looking around. His eyes were a clear baby blue, and he had light freckles spattered across his pale cheeks.

@bubblegum

Callie had never even come this close to a prince before, and he was internally panicking both at the fact that this was, indeed, the prince, and secondly, that said prince was very cute.
I could show you some of the bigger stuff if you want, Callie offered, glad for once that he couldn't speak well. If he did, he would probably flub the words. You'd have less a chance of getting caught.

@Fraust

Lucas grinned, dimples visible as he did so. "Really? Y-You'd do that?" He asked quietly, forgetting to sign for a moment. Once he realized, he blushed in embarrassment and repeated himself in sign language, albeit without the stutter.

@bubblegum

Callie tried very hard to ignore how incredibly adorable Lucas' grin was, reminding himself that Lucas was a prince and Callie was an immigrant, and he was simply doing his ruler a favor. A very big one, but still. He nodded. Of course. Your highness.

@Fraust

Lucas blushed more, looking away. You don't have to call me that. Just Lucas is fine. He glanced over at the street, pulling his hood up so no one else would recognize him.

@bubblegum

Callie nodded again, a small smile crossing his lips. Just Lucas.
He raised his mechanical arm and pointed farther down the street at a four-way-stop. He then gestured for Lucas to follow him, starting to walk.

@Fraust

Lucas trotted after him, holding the sides of his thin hood in to keep it up. He still seemed a bit nervous about being caught, of course, and all his parents' reasons he wasn't allowed to leave. There were assassins in the kingdom, they said, just waiting for a moment like this to hurt Lucas while he was undefended.

@bubblegum

Callie turned back to Lucas to make sure he was following, smiling in reassurance. It's okay. Turn here. Callie turned around the corner to reveal a massive, gothic stone cathedral. People were starting to trickle inside in the early morning, but other than that it was empty as the sun shone against it.

@Fraust

"Wow…" Lucas looked up at the cathedral in awe, his grip on his hood slackening slightly. This place is beautiful… He kept staring at it, snapped out of his daze when he was jostled roughly by the crowd. I have only seen pictures of it before.

@bubblegum

Callie reached out to pull Lucas' hood farther over his face, hesitated, and then quickly did it so he could put his hand back in his pocket. It is nice. Come on, He signed with his other hand, leading Lucas farther into the city.

@Fraust

Lucas went after him, looking around as they walked. Although it was in his nature to be polite, he avoided talking to anyone for fear of being recognized and turned in. He kept his hood up, hoping it was enough.

@bubblegum

There weren't too many grand sights in this part of the city besides that cathedral, but there was the DeFleur home, which Callie pointed to as they passed it. Know that house?

@Fraust

Lucas carefully placed one hand onto the house, looking up at it still. He was intrigued by it for some reason.

@bubblegum

You've met the people? Callie signed to him slowly, letting him take it all in. He passed this house every day at least, but never gotten this close.

@bubblegum

Callie smiled, although he didn't make any noise. Although he could learn to speak if he wanted to, any words he made now sounded garbled and weren't really understand, so it was rare to see him make any noise at all, to even laugh or hum.

@bubblegum

There wasn't much else to see in the city that Callie thought could ever compare to anything Lucas had seen before. There was the pier, of course…well, he could show him the pier. Callie didn't normally go near it much, because he was halfway made of metal, but he would do it for the prince. Lucas.

@Fraust

Lucas's face lit up at the sight of his city, looking around eagerly. He became quite well acquainted with the sign for 'sorry' from bumping into Callie so much when distracted. He kept his hood up as Callie began leading him to the pier.

@bubblegum

And Callie had to use the sign for 'it's okay' many times as well, reassuring Lucas every time. Eventually the smell of sea salt wafted towards them, and the city began to thin out to make way for the large pier.

@Fraust

Lucas looked out onto the ocean, in awe. It's gorgeous. He stepped a bit further onto the wet dock, watching the fisherman bring in their full nets.
