J waved a hand. “It’s fine. What we make is approximate to how much money we gain from album buys and concert money.”
J waved a hand. “It’s fine. What we make is approximate to how much money we gain from album buys and concert money.”
"Oh. Cool…" Kayla said, nodding slowly.
J hummed. “Yep. It’s pretty neat.”
Kayla smiled at him, then suddenly chucked both wads of paper at him, one after the other.
J let out a yelp as he was showered in paper. He tried batting away as many as possible but the wads still hit him.
Kayla laughed as she picked up more paper to toss at him.
"Aren't you going to defend yourself?" she teased.
J spluttered angrily. “What do you mean by that?? There are so many!!”
"Exactly! Pick some up!" Kayla laughed.
J spluttered some more. “I don’t want to hit you!”
"Why, 'cause I'm a girl?" Kayla laughed, tossing one at his face.
“Because you are the most lovely lady I’ve ever seen,” J argued with a slight bow.
Kayla froze and blinked. Her mouth gaped open slightly as she stared at him.
J grinned up at her. His grin faded out slightly when he saw her expression.
“What? Too creepy?”
Kayla blinked again and shook her head, closing her mouth as a blush rose to her cheeks.
"No. Not at all," she whispered.
J smiled a little. “I’m not lying to you. You’re very pretty.”
"I'm… not the pretty one," Kayla said, shaking her head as she stared at the floor. "That's Autumn."
J walked over, still standing a few feet away. “I don’t think so.” He smiled. “I bet you’d look a lot better without the makeup.” He winked, trying to lighten up the situation. “Tips from a rock star.”
Kayla glanced up through her eyelashes, shy once more.
"Well… Thanks," she said softly.
J nodded a little. “No problem.”
(You know what would be funny? If he kissed her, and then Autumn and Alex walked in.)
Kayla gave him a shy smile. "I guess I don't get complimented very often. Autumn seems to always be the center of attention…"
(xD That would be great, but why would they walk up there?)
J grabbed her hands gently and stepped forward a little more. “Now it’s your turn, yeah?” He asked this softly as though he were talking to a scared animal.
(Idk… Maybe Alex was showing her around?)
Kayla felt her heart skip a beat when he took her hands, and she looked up at him fully.
"My turn?" she breathed, her head tilted to the side a bit. "Yeah… I guess…"
(Ya sure! Sounds like a good idea.)
J’s hands felt rough and worn. He shifted his grip on her hands and steadily gazed back at her, his soft eyes gleaming.
“You guess?”
"I mean, do I really get a choice?" Kayla softly joked with a shrug.
J lauged gently. “No, not really. I think you deserve the attention.”
