“No, J just loves his mallows. We always buy extra,” Alex explained.
J glanced up and started eyeing the second bag.
“No, J just loves his mallows. We always buy extra,” Alex explained.
J glanced up and started eyeing the second bag.
"Why don't we keep the second bag far away from him," Autumn suggested, a hint of laughter in her voice.
Alex laughed. “Hear hear!”
B chuckled and tossed the bag over to Autumn. “Just keep it over there. He won’t go over there with you two.”
“What makes you think I won’t?”
"I'll hold onto it, then," Autumn chuckled.
Kayla giggled at the look on J's face, biting her lip to try to stop. She grabbed a marshmallow from the bag and stuck it on her stick.
J glanced over at the bag of mallows, then over at Kayla unknowingly. He stared for a while then shook his head, back to his bag of marshmallows.
Kayla blushed, having felt his eyes on her. She stared at her marshmallow as it roasted, turning to golden perfection.
Alex roasted his own snatched-from-Autumn mallow, humming gently as it burned steadily. It caught aflame and Alex lifted it up. “Perfect!”
Without blowing it out he put it on his gram crackers and chocolate.
Autumn stared at him with raised eyebrows. "How did you do that without burning yourself?"
Alex didn’t answer her and took a bite, simultaneously making everyone ever cringe at the same time.
"That's… That's just… Wow. Okay, then," Autumn said, blinking a few times.
Alex happily enjoyed his slightly smothering s’more in cringe-filled silence, grinning a little.
Autumn shook her head and pulled her own golden-brown marshmallow out of the flames. She stuck it between the graham crackers with a piece of chocolate, them bit into it with a pleased smile.
Alex glanced at her then at everyone else, who had gone back to what they were doing.
“So! Music.”
B nodded frankly.
"Yeah, music… How long have you guys been a band?" Autumn asked, glancing around at the group.
Alex grunted. “About three or four years.”
B laughed tiredly. “Yep. Just about.”
"Really? It's been a while, then, huh? How many concerts have you done?"
“Only two,” Alex hummed wistfully.
"Hm… Would you want to do more?" Autumn asked curiously.
Alex laughed. “Of course I would! And we are.”
"Cool! When and where is your next one?" Autumn asked, leaning forward a bit.
“Hmm… we might be having one sometime next month. We were dicussing it for a while. We have places begging us to preform in their stadiums…”
"Hey, that's pretty awesome! Any chance you could give out a couple of exclusive tickets?" Autumn asked, only half joking. Kayla's eyes lit up and she grinned at the thought.
Alex smiled. “Sure we could! You could take the plane ride with us if you’d like.”
"Seriously?"
"That would be so cool!" Kayla exclaimed excitedly.
Alex smiled. “Yeah! Seriously! It is our plane and bus.”
