"Yeah! What time? And will we meet there or will you pick me up?" Kayla asked, grinning.
"Yeah! What time? And will we meet there or will you pick me up?" Kayla asked, grinning.
"We could meet there? Or I could pick you up. I'll pick you up!"
Kayla giggled a bit. "All right. You'll need my address, then. Give me your hand or your phone."
J hastily grabbed a pen and handed over his hand. "I'll write it down when I get to the motel."
"All right," Kayla said, blushing lightly as she took his hand in her own to write her address down. She also wrote her number, telling him she was doing so.
J smiled a little and nodded. Her hands were so soft and warm… he shook himself. That's creepy.
Once she was done, Kayla reluctantly let go of his hand.
Gosh, he has nice hands…
No, stop. That's weird.
J smiled a little, his hand having a distinct coolness to it. He couldn't remember the last time he held someone's hand.
"So… see you then? Or do you wanna hang out more?"
"I think Autumn wanted to hang out longer, and she's kind of my ride, so I guess that means we can hang out more," Kayla said with a smile.
J beamed. "Awesome. Do you wanna go sit somewhere? We could sit up in Alex's office."
"Sure. That sounds good," Kayla agreed with a smile.
J smiled happily and led her upstairs into Alex’s office. It was messy but still quite quaint-looking with the balls of paper littering the ground and overflowing from the trash. They would compell anyone; they could be discarded music lyrics, little letters to himself or others…
"I didn't know rockstars were so messy," Kayla joked, picking up a wadded up ball of paper and tossing it playfully at J.
J caught it and tossed it away. “Yeah, Alex is a total mess. We love him anyway.” J laughed his full laugh.
"Are the rest of you this messy?" Kayla asked as she picked up another piece of paper.
The paper had intelligible scribbles on it.
J smiled. “No comment.”
Kayla glanced up at him with a smile. "So that's a 'yes', then?"
J glanced away at a poster on the wall.
"I can't say I'm surprised," Kayla chuckled, poking him gently in the side.
J chuckled gently too. “I never have time to clean. I only clean if someone’s coming over.”
"What, you don't have a maid to do it for you, with all your rockstar perks?" Kayla teased, raising an eyebrow at him. She picked up another ball of paper in her free hand and tossed the first at him.
J laughed happily and batted it away. “I don’t like hiring people to do my work!”
"But you could, if you wanted to?" Kayla asked, genuinely curious, as she tossed the other at him.
J straightened up. “Of course I could. I wouldn’t, though.” The paper bounced off of his face.
Kayla giggled a bit as the paper bounced off of him, and she picked another couple of pieces off the floor.
"Just how much money do you guys make?" she asked, tilting her head to the side. She blinked and shook her head. "Sorry, you don't have to answer that…"
