He laughed again. "Yeah, I could just stop writing and let the uptake happen."
He laughed again. "Yeah, I could just stop writing and let the uptake happen."
"Mmhm. That you could," Autumn laughed.
Alex tilted his head. "I'd probably have a lot of angry fans. Including your sister." He smiled.
"Probably," Autumn agreed with a grin. "She wouldn't be too happy about that."
Alex chuckled. "I liked her. She seemed really sweet." He grinned happily. Thinking about his fans made him feel really happy.
"She can be… Other times she's a pain in the tail," Autumn chuckled as she thought about her sister.
Alex laughed gently. "It sounds like you guys have a good relationship, though."
"Yeah, we do now. We used to basically hate each other, though…" Autumn trailed off with a fond smile.
Alex grinned at her. "Sounds great. I wish I had a sibling."
"Hating each sounds great?" Autumn laughed. "But, yeah, I get that."
Alex shrugged. "I could do without the hate. But people always looked at me like this spoiled little kid because I had so much."
"Oh… I'm sorry," Autumn said softly. "I think I can understand that."
Alex sighed before brightening up again. "That's alright. I was very thankful for what I got."
"Good," Autumn said before the driver announced that they were at their destination. She thanked him and paid for the ride before stepping out of the car.
Alex climbed out of the car after thanking the driver. He stretched out and stepped up onto the sidewalk, looking around.
Autumn waited for Alex before walking inside. Once they had ordered their food, they found a place to sit and wait.
"So, get any writing done lately?" she asked.
Alex got himself comfortable, tucking his legs up. "Nope! No writing at all." He beamed.
Autumn chuckled. "Of course. Why not, though?"
Alex snorted. "Why not? Why not?" He answered the question with the same question like any procrastinating writer would.
"Hm. You're really bad at this whole 'procrastination' thing," Autumn teased. "Maybe stick to the movie idea."
Alex chuckled. "Maybe I've reached levels of procrastination never imagined before."
"I mean, maybe?" Autumn said with a shrug. "Or maybe you're just bad at it."
Alex put a finger on his chin. "Maybe I'm procrastinating on getting good at it."
"You're procrastinating on answering my question is what you're doing," Autumn laughed.
Alex waved his hands. "Procrastinationnn!"
