"Sure, sounds good. Don't forget about lunch tomorrow," Autumn reminded him.

Alex grinned. “Don’t you forget about lunch either. No matter how much I like getting free meals, I won’t appreciate it if you don’t show.”

"Oh, so now all of a sudden I'm paying? I thought the person was invited their guest usually paid," Autumn teased.

Alex rolled his eyes. “I’m paying, but the resturant might give me a free meal if you don’t come. They do it all the time.”

"Ah, I see. That can be annoying, can't it?" Autumn said understandingly.

Alsx hummed. “A resturant’s pity is not what I want anymore.”

"Oh, really? Then what do you want?" Autumn asked curiously.

“To have dinner with a lovely lady, of course.” He grinned even though she couldn’t see it.

Autumn snorted.

"We're having lunch, not dinner," she reminded him.

Alex laughed. “My mistake, then.”

"Mmhm. I mean, unless you'd rather wait until dinner…" Autumn teased.

“No, of course not! I want to have lunch with you!”

"Good," Autumn chuckled. "I'd be concerned if the person who invited me to lunch didn't want to have lunch with me."

Alex laughed his full laugh. “Makes sense. I suppose you want to have lunch, too?”

"Would I have agreed if I didn't?" Autumn asked.

Alex nodded thoughtfully. “Makes sense.” He laughed.

"It should," Autumn laughed. "Anyway, what time should we meet up?"

"I don't care, whatever's fine with you." He grinned brightly.

Autumn hummed in thought. "I think I'm free anytime from noon until two."

"Well, we could get the most of it and meet up at twelve?" He hoped she didn't find it creepy how he suggested it.

"Sure, that sounds good," Autumn agreed, oblivious to his thoughts.

Alex relaxed. "Great! See you then?"

"Yeah, I'll see you then. Bye, Alex," Autumn said, hanging up the phone.

"See you." Alex hung up the phone too, then leaned back in his chair.
What the hell am I going to wear?

Autumn started to unpack her suitcases and carefully put everything away. If her closet or dresser was a mess, it drove her crazy.
