“I like having you live with us,” Autumn said, grinning at her. Her eyes roamed to the house again, and she frowned a bit. “I wonder what’s taking him so long…”

Alex, as if summoned by her words, popped back into the car, humming happily. “I had to find my phone.” He laughed to himself.

“You left both your wallet and your phone inside? Geez, Alex, how do you get anywhere this way?” Autumn teased with a chuckle.

Alex laughed softly and revved up the car. “Dunno!” He proclaimed before backing out.

"Well, I guess it's a good thing you have me, then, isn't it?" Autumn joked. "I can help you make sure you don't lose things."

Alex laughed softly and looked back happily. “It sure is a good thing, dear.”

(Ugh. I'm trying to deal with flight prices, and it is not fun… The closest main airport to where I need to be is about 45 minutes away…)

Autumn waved him away with a grin. "Pay attention to driving, babe," she teased.

Alex rolled his eyes and faced forward again. “I can’t back out? Well, I’m offended, personally.”

(I gave up trying to do it alone. I'll have my stepdad help me later.)

Autumn huffed playfully and rolled her eyes. "You can back out, Alex. Just don't try to do that if you're driving forward."

“I was doing that to back out! I can’t just back out and not check behind me.”

"I understand that now, babe," Autimn chuckled. "So, please do what you need to do."

Alex rolled his eyes at a passing sign. “I think I am. Thank you for checking in.”

"You're very welcome, love," Autumn teased with a chuckle.

Jilly giggled softly, smiling into her hands. “You guys are funny.”

Autumn looked over at her and winked, knowing Alex couldn't see her. "Alex is funnier. He does some very silly things sometimes."

Alex snorted softly. “I am not. You do all kinds of amusing things.”

"Oh, yeah? Like what?" Autumn challenged playfully.

Alex stuck his tongue out at her at a stop sign. “Everything! I’m a God!”

Autumn chuckled and quickly flicked his forehead before he turned around. “Everything I do is amusing? Good to know…”

Alex grabbed her hand gently and turned. “Yep. It’s all so amusing.”

Autumn grinned and tried to pull her hand out of his grasp. “Two bands on the wheel, babe.”

Alex strung an arm over the seat of the passenger’s seat, humming. “I can drive, dear.”

“I know, but if you have my hand then it makes it harder,” Autumn chuckled, teasing him.

Alex chuckled and rolled his eyes. “Noo. No it doesn’t.”

“Mmhm… Sure, dear,” Autumn hummed with a grin.
